I love this pool for swimming for fitness - it is a fantastic pool in Art Deco style built in the mid 1930s and I am grateful we have it to enjoy. The staff have always friendly, efficient and professional towards me. I went today during the morning and everywhere was clean. Sometimes during busier times people are not considerate of others, and leave areas that they have used, dirty. I think we all have a duty to treasure this wonderful swimming pool and appreciate the hard work of the staff, and clean up after ourselves using the bins provided. Reading the negative comments about the cleanliness I feel is a reaction to the behaviour of selfish patrons and is not an accurate reflection of how it is to go swimming here. I would definitely recommend for fitness swimming, for a fun splash about at a leisure pool (especially with children who cannot swim) I would recommend Danes Camp. A £1 coin is needed for lockers, only card payments are accepted for the swimming session fee. A welcome addition would be a spin dryer device for swimming costumes. The hairdryers are excellent and free to use which is great. Good value. I only wish swimming sessions were a bit longer.

I love this pool, I swim there regularly. The reception staff are great. The pool is not "a lame 70's" pool as previously described, it is a beautiful Art Deco pool built in 1936, that is a listed building. It could do with larger, more reliable lockers in the main pool area, and a bit of a deep clean in places, but it's over 30 meters long, and they try to always keep one lane open for serious swimmers to use.

The building looks a bit scruffy from the outside, but the inside is actually really nice and new. The changing rooms were really clean. The pool is of a decent size with a dedicated lane for "serious" swimmers.

Friendly staff and great facilities. I use the pool and gym, generally no issues with either. Problems with hot water in the past would be my only negative but this seems to have been sorted. A good value fitness and sports club conveniently located in the village for local residents. Opening times and availability of general swim sessions can be somewhat limited because of the setup in a working public school, and there is not a huge range of equipment or number of machines in the fitness suite but for me Willison Centre is worth the cost and I enjoy being a member. I also love the flexible rolling subscription system so I don’t have to pay for a month if I have sickness, injury or holidays etc. and wouldn’t get the use.

We take our school here to use the swimming pool for lessons & it's a perfect size pool to teach swimming in as it's only deep in a small bit. The staff are very friendly & helpful, especially the lifeguard. Would definitely recommend this pool if teaching swimming or learning to swim. Also it is the warmest pool I've been in so not freezing for the kids once they first get in.

We used the Willison Sports Centre for a recent sporting event and the venue was fabulous. Alex helped us to sort out all the details and we hope to come back again.
