“Markenfield Hall is a historic house known for being one of the few remaining moated medieval manor houses. The Hall has a rich and remarkable history, and its origins can be traced back to the Domesday Book of 1086. Markenfield Hall exudes a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere despite experiencing its share of turmoil over the centuries. Although generally open to the public only for short periods, Markenfield Hall offers various opportunities for individual or group visits throughout the year, including talks, tours, and teas. As a wedding venue, it also hosts public tours in the afternoons for several weeks. For safety reasons, the tours are limited to ten people per group.”
