THE OLD COACH HOUSE REVIEWS

The Old Coach House is absolutely excellent. Our room was spacious, had everything we could want and all of a very high quality. It was warm, comfy and looked great too, with huge original wooden beams, large luxurious armchairs and tasteful decor. The breakfasts were super too; lots of choice and tasty fresh fruit like berries or pineapple and choice of juices. Home made granola pots featured if you wanted a luxury treat. Cooked choices were tasty and very nicely served. Tea and coffee and toast in plentiful supply. Very convenient for Ripon but lots of countryside all around with local walks. Maps and walking routes to borrow in the reception which was where you could top up hot drinks and other snacks. A very lovely place to stay and I heartily recommend it to help make your travels or break a big success.

What a fantastic place, simple self registration, done at your leisure once you’ve settled in. . Followed by a warm welcome from the manager. A perfect room with everything you need. A breakfast to die for served by a friendly staff. that you book in advance so nothing on your plate you don’t want. In over 50yrs of accommodation with work and leisure I have never had better.

Charming place to stay. Our room was very comfortable, bed was good and everything was clean. The location is superb, atmosphere is lovely. The breakfast is really delicious and especially loved the porridge. Nice selection of breakfast items. Service top notch as well. Can’t wait to stay again some day.

I enjoyed an outstanding 2 night break at Mallard Grange this weekend. From the cut flowers, handmade chocolates & shortbread waiting in my room to the unforgettable cooked breakfasts, Maggie had every small detail covered to ensure that her guests enjoyed their stay to the utmost. A host, who genuinely cares about the service she provides in her gorgeous farmhouse. A rare quality these days. I can’t wait to return. Thank you!

A big thank you to Maggie and all the team for going above and beyond and making our stay at Mallard Grange so enjoyable. This is truly a gem of a find, from the wonderful welcome, the so sumptuous bed and pillows, the delicious breakfasts and the many kind and thoughtful extras. A return visit is an absolute must!

Fantastic B&B. Room was excellent. Food was fantastic. Host was friendly and welcoming. We were only disappointed that we were only there for the weekend as we wanted to stay longer! We will be back.

I had the pleasure of staying at a charming guesthouse in Ripon, and my experience was truly delightful. The staff's warm and friendly demeanor made me feel incredibly welcome, creating a homey atmosphere. The rooms were impeccably clean, and attention to detail was evident throughout. I appreciated the care they put into maintaining such a cozy and inviting environment. It was a delightful retreat, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and charming stay in Ripon.

My daughter and myself visited Yorkshire for my birthday treat and stayed at Crescent Lodge for 2 nights .... Penny and Paul were lovely hosts and extremely helpful and kind...the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean with a lovely modern shower room...we pre ordered our breakfast which was freshly cooked and delicious. The b & b was a short walk into Ripon which is a lovely town with a fabulous cathedral. We would certainly recommend Crescent Lodge.

Absolutley nothing to dislike about the accomodation, the choices for breakfast were unbelievable, and the owners were very accomodating. Would highly reccomend, even booked for next year.
