Just finished the 3-month beginners programme at IFS and honestly couldn’t recommend it more. From day one, the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming – no egos, just good people and great coaching. Whether you’re looking to improve your MMA skills, get fitter, or just push yourself, this is the place to be. The coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, and really know how to get the best out of you. Top-notch training, great vibes, and solid results. If you’re even slightly considering it – just go for it. You won’t regret it.

IFS MMA is hands down one of the best places you can train—whether you’re brand new or experienced in MMA. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and the coaches are top-notch. Joined IFS back in December 2024, when I first joined I was sitting around 95KG. 6 months later I’m down to 83kg and also had my first Gladiator fight on Clan Wars, one of the best MMA gyms I’ve been too. The atmosphere is incredible and the coaches push you to be your best, if you’re looking to compete or even just lose weight and learn the art this is the place to start!:)

I started training at Icon in Belfast in November 2023, no background in martial arts or regular training. Have found everyone to be friendly, welcoming and helpful (coaches and other members alike). Coaches are always generous with their time and go out of their way to help. There are plenty of classes and opportunities to train (early morning, lunchtime, evenings, weekends), plenty of parking and the facilities are clean and modern.

ICON is a great place to learn and grow! I started as a complete beginner 10 months ago and it's one of the best decisions I've made. Everyone is beyond welcoming and supportive. The coaches are never to busy to help and other members also lend advice during classes. Starting at 34 was nerve racking but that quickly went away once i met Dave, the other coaches, and started attending classes. Also the rolling 12 weeks syllabus is helpful if you can't make a class, over time you won't miss an important movement.

I have been a member for nearly 2 years. I can honestly say I have no regrets about walking through the doors of Icon. The coaches are excellent and the work they put in to get the best out of you is incredible! You also get to share the matts with an incredible group of students of all ages and skill levels, all pushing to be the best version of themselves. No egos, just hard work and respect for your training partners. I would recommend anyone looking to work on their physical and mental fitness join Icon. You will not be disappointed.
