Staves is a lovable community, the people there are so nice (though I know just one person – Rob.) He’s an amazing drumming teacher who has made me progress quicker than any other drum teacher in my past, I understand more and I enjoy it more with a teacher like Rob. He also understands me and my capabilities, he knows when to make me progress, and when to take a different approach which over-all makes me progress with ease. Don’t hesitate go there ASAP and you won’t regret.

I chose Staves because they are situated in my local area. Everyone I have met there is extremely friendly and polite. The lessons are structured and given by friendly and professional young tutors, and have enabled me to achieve a standard far beyond my expectations in only 2 months! I would point out that I’m a mature student and had no previous experience of woodwind instruments but am now able to produce many a decent tune! Thank you Staves.

I’ve been going to Staves ever since I was recommended to by a friend, and it was the best decision I ever made. In just a short period of time I’ve learned new things and developed skills which would have never been possible without the teachings of Phil… he also makes a crackin’ brew!

I started learning drums middle of last year and love every moment of it. My tutor, Jake, is encouraging, patient and approachable. His style of teaching uses methods tailored to my preferences and pace. Whilst I have not been to any, the jam sessions and workshops they offer show they not only do individual lessons but encourage members to play with or in front of others if they feel comfortable to do so. The owner, John, is very friendly and is always around to help anyone if they need it. Cant fault a single thing!

Started learning piano a couple of years ago now, my tutor Lucy is brilliant and has helped me improve no end, as an adult learner with family and work commitments I do not always practise as much as I would like to but Lucy keeps me accountable and moving forward with my playing. A great place to learn and improve.

I’ve been having guitar lessons here for 4 years and my playing has improved massively. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Always ready to listen to my requests. I have no hesitation in recommending this school with the highest regard.
