“The Children's Room is a dedicated baby room following the Montessori principles; the Children’s Room takes babies up to children aged 6. Liz Byatt is the Owner and Founder of the nursery. They have baby and toddler facilities in four large, sunny rooms overlooking the trees of St. James Gardens. They are very excited to have introduced practical life and Montessori materials into the daily routine of the toddler age range. They provide high-quality childcare and education. All their staff are calm, enthusiastic, happy, and trained. The Children’s Room sessions are mornings, afternoons, or all day from Monday to Friday during term times or full-time for 48 weeks a year.

2025 Update: The Children's Room is the only accredited Montessori nursery school in South Wales. They provide pick-ups and drop-offs from schools in their local area. All the staff are CRB reviewed to ensure the safety of the children. Their staff concentrate on the goal of holistically developing the social and emotional intelligence of the child.”

PITTER PATTER DAY NURSERY REVIEWS

Generally an excellent nursery. Due to moving house, our son has been in two nursery settings over the last few years and Pitter Patter is by far the best of the two we've experienced. Our son always goes in excited and comes out happy, which says it all. The feedback, pictures and messaging via the app are particularly good. The only comment for improvement is increased flexibility over occasionally needing to change or increase days temporarily, although appreciate this can be challenging with staff rotas.

My little boy attends this nursery and it’s fantastic. He’s been there for over a year now and I feel so comfortable knowing he’s in good hands. I love the photo updates and seeing the activities they do through the day. The nursery will accommodate extra days for us if they can which is very helpful. Overall the girls are fabulous with my little one even when he’s not in the best of moods. I’ve had no regrets in picking this nursery.

My daughter has been attending Pitter Patter for 15 months and I can honestly say it is the best decision I have made. The staff and management are brilliant and the care shown towards my daughter is the best I could ask for. She has come on leaps and bounds and is thriving which is mainly down to the staff at Pitter Patter. They always respond to questions or concerns if raised, promptly. The staff know parents by first names and are always friendly. The extra activities throughout the year put on by the nursery are fab, for example summer party, Xmas party which involves all the children. The facilities at the nursery are great and the activities on a daily basis are fun and varied. You are kept up to date on an app where you can track your child’s day and also see photos of them from throughout the day. I can’t praise them enough and for the support, care and guidance they have given to my daughter.

In my opinion, The Children's Room is unrivalled and by far the best all- round Nursery for miles. Dedicated and confident staff ensure my son is not only extremely well cared for but he is lovingly nurtured and encouraged as an individual. I feel honoured to have my son attend and I am always happy in the knowledge that his time there is invaluable.

My daughter has absolutely bloomed in the care of The Children's Room. An incredible environment, with staff that are nurturing, caring and professional. Always supportive and understanding of parents and children alike. Wouldn't go anywhere else, and look forward to having my daughter here for years to come.

TY HAPUS DAY NURSERY REVIEWS

Staff are so friendly and amazing at what they do. Management are always happy to help and work around you. My son has attended this setting for a year and it's incredible to see how much he's learning, talking, singing, playing. He's always happy to tell me which "auntie" he's played with. It's lovely to see how excited he gets when staff come to the door to collect him.

Ty Hapus is an Excellent day nursery where my child thrives. The staff are attentive and mindful and the nursery communicates efficiently and effectively through a private, in house app. They are excellent through the school holidays and where and if possible, to and from school. Information on this is available from the office.

My grandson Oscar loves going to ty hapus enjoying everything he does there.
