“Sarah Barker is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy. She completed her osteopathic training at Leeds Metropolitan University to achieve a Master's Degree in Osteopathy in 2016. On completion, Sarah was also awarded the 'Dean's Prize of Excellence.' Sarah enjoys treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions, but she has a particular interest in treating cervical (neck) pain and upper back pain. This is often as a result of poor posture, which can usually be addressed within a few treatments. When I started visiting Alex I was in excruciating pain with my hips and had just accepted that years of jobs where I had bad posture meant I would now always be in pain. After a few sessions the pain had hugely reduced and allowed me to start exercising again, lose some weight and now I only need maintenance visits. There is no hard sell to come more often than needed. Alex is friendly whilst still remaining professional and puts you at ease straight away.

After a nasty fall last year which resulted in a torn ACL and a badly torn meniscus cartilage in my left knee I’ve been struggling to rehab my knee post surgery. I’ve recently started physio with Sam at Parker and Jones Therapy. This guy is so knowledgeable and really knows his stuff and I feel I’m in safe hands. If you are in need of a good physio therapist I highly recommend trying this place.

I saw Alex the osteopath for severe lower back pain . He gave me a clear explanation of my symptoms which immediately eliminated my anxiety. I would recommend this treatment as even after the first manipulation my muscles felt looser. After 3 appointments l am now virtually free of pain. He has also been very helpful with advice and after care.

I had the pleasure of visiting Josh at JMK Osteopath, to help with some issues I've been having with my neck and shoulders. The atmosphere at JMK Osteopath was warm and welcoming, and I felt at ease immediately. Josh took the time to thoroughly assess my condition, ask questions about my history, and listen attentively to my concerns. The treatment itself was both gentle and effective. I felt a noticeable improvement in the mobility of my neck after just one session. He also provided helpful advice for stretching, posture correction, and lifestyle changes to support my bookish / equestrian lifestyle. What stood out most was his ability to explain everything in a clear and understandable way, which made me feel more informed and confident in my treatment plan. Overall, I highly recommend Josh for anyone seeking professional and compassionate care. Looking forward to my next appointment!

Josh has made such a difference to my neck and shoulder pain. Before seeing Josh I was having constant headaches and pain in my shoulder/neck. After just a few sessions I felt so much better. Josh is very knowledgeable and listened carefully to piece together where my issues were coming from. I was quite nervous when I first went to see an osteopath but Josh’s friendly nature put me completely at ease.

I saw Josh for heel pain and he was excellent. He quickly identified the issue and gave me targeted exercises, which have really helped. He also worked on the trigger points with massage, and the improvement has been noticeable. Professional, knowledgeable, and effective — highly recommend!
