Saltwell Park is an amazing place to bring the kids to play. The park has been awarded the titles of Green Flag and Britain's Best Park. Some amenities include play areas, a maze, and a pet's corner; you can get active with their walking and jogging routes, as well as bowling greens, tennis, and basketball facilities. Saltwell Park encompasses 55 acres of landscaped grounds, woodland, ornamental gardens, public sports facilities, and a refreshment house. The park is an ideal location to enjoy a meal and a warm beverage in the beautiful surroundings of Saltwell Towers. Dogs are allowed in the park. The Park provides free entry and parking facilities.

2025 Update: Saltwell Park is also home to several sculptures placed around the park. Walkers are spoilt for choice, with a variety of routes around the park and a free health walk every Tuesday.

The Watergate Riders' route is a circular walk that combines permissive and official bridleways and restricted byways. 2025 Update: The 3-mile Watergate and Washingwell Wander route takes in views of natural and historic features as well as the sculptures along the way.
