Crown Lakes is on national cycle network route 12, and the Peterborough cycling leisure route 5, offering an 11.5-mile route through the city’s green spaces. It provides the equivalent of 88 football pitches, there’s plenty of space for informal games, from rounders to Frisbee. Bretton Water Park offers numerous ways for schools and educators to support children's learning across all their services, from early years to school leavers. The facilities include a large children's play area within the main part of the park and a smaller one close by, an open-air paddling pool which is open during the summer months and is free to the public. The park is a perfect place to have a picnic with many benches in the shade of the trees and plenty of room for family game.
