3 Best Parks in Solihull, UK

We love Elmdon Park. It has everything for a well rounded family park visit - lovely walks (great for scooters/bikes), wide open spaces, ducks to feed, wildlife to spot, a playground, picnic tables, a football field, shallow streams and benches. It's a great location to visit in all seasons e.g If you visit in the summer there is normally an ice-cream van and if you visit in the Autumn you'll find conkers etc. The only downside is that there are some irresponsible dog owners that don't clear up after their dogs. It's very frustrating when you have little ones that aren't always vigilant. Plus there are no toilets but apart from that it's one of our favourites.

Lovely park, very big area to explore, the meadows are beautiful when dry can be very muddy in winter, good sized lake with hardstanding path and also option of woodland path, walled garden, large wooded areas to explore also. Playground, football pitch, tennis courts & stream too.

Elmdon Park is a hidden gem, and I'm so glad I discovered it! I'll definitely be back for another relaxing morning stroll. Perfect for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat from the city. Don't miss the beautiful pond and walking trails!

It is a great place to take children. There is a well equipped play area for the children with swings and slides and climbing frames. There's a dog friendly area where you can let your dog run around in a secure area without the worry of it escaping. Large open fields are ideal for games and picnics and an outdoor gym and skateboard park. There is often an ice cream van or somewhere to purchase a coffee whilst out and about. Dog-friendliness: There is a great dog agility area for your dog to run around in, secure in the knowledge that the area is enclosed and free from other park users.

It's nice, clean and well maintained as compared to the other parks around this area. It's complete family park as it has sections for all age groups. Kids love the swings and slides. Teanagers have separate activities section. There are some basic fitness equipment fitted in the park for adults which is great if you want to do some basic gym exercises free of cost. There are other activities areas such as tennis and basket ball. Over all great park.

Shirley Park is a favourite site of Locals as well as Bi-Annual Visitors like me. It is a Cool place for Roaming, Energetic Place for Gymnastics, Entertainer for Dramatics ! Dog owners enjoy playing with their Dogs !
