West Highland Museum is a small independent museum located in Fort William, Highland. It was founded in 1922 by a group of people from Lochaber who wanted to establish a West Highlands museum, second to none in the entire world. It has eight rooms spread over three floors, with an extensive collection of Jacobite displays, including those from the 18th century. The museum also hosts other archaeological and wildlife exhibits. West Highland Museum is a place to explore the military history, emphasising the Commando Basic Training Centre. The museum provide free admission.
