SCOTTISH MARITIME MUSEUM REVIEWS
This is an interesting place to visit with many wells laid out displays and exhibits which illustrate the history of shipbuilding in Scotland and how many of these ships were put to use. There are lots to see and understand in the main building. The external mixed exhibits are good and set you up for what is in the main building. The staff are friendly and knowledgeablee. The Puffer Cafe is only a short walk and is worth a visit for a late lunch. This museum is well worth a visit.
Excellent maritime museum. Interesting displays brought back memories of when I worked in Scottish and English shipyards. Displays of wood built yachts showed craftsmanship that is seldom seen nowadays. The museum tour is worthwhile to see around The Kyles, a small cargo vessel built in 1872 and still seaworthy and the authentic shipyard workers house. Knowledgeable guides make the tour more interesting. Round it off with a visit to The Puffer Cafe, great views.
A greàt place filled with interesting history on maritime. Had fun learning! Give this place a visit when you are in Irwin nextime.

ISLE OF ARRAN HERITAGE MUSEUM REVIEWS
I have been to Arran many times over the years and have passed the Museum on the way to other places. This time we stopped and regretted that we had taken so long to come here. A treasure trove of the history and the people of Arran. From the old cottage, the Smiddy. The schoolhouse and the farming equipment this place is a real gem. The volinteers we met were enthusiastic and informative and made our visit really special. Nice tearoom on site with freshly prepared soup and sandwiches and nice cakes. Small gift shop with a good selection of products. The setting of the site by the river is a delight and great for a relaxing sitdown. Great value for money. Just sorry that we didn't visit sooner.
Fabulous place to visit, so much variety in such a small place. A good few hours needed for this visit. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Nice place. Interesting. Good cafe. Amazing empire biscuit. Nice area to hang out while awaiting the ferry, especially if the weather is good!

DALGARVEN MILL MUSEUM OF COUNTRY LIFE & COSTUME REVIEWS
It was such a lovely day out. The owner gave us an introduction to the museum. 3 floors upwards with costumes and about life. downwards information on the renovation of the mill and how the mill worked. We also had some amazing, freshly baked scones in the cafe. Everybody was just so lovely! The museum has steep stairs, so if you are with a pram, you will need to leave it downstairs, but the cafe has 2 high chairs.
Wow oh wow what a marvellous experience. Firstly we met Robert who so knowledgeable, friendly and funny. So we started our journey through time with a smile on our faces. It for us was a walk down memory lane. We saw items that related to many members of our Families some we had forgotten. We thought for younger generations there was so much to see. We would recommend without hesitation this experience. It was rounded off by a lovely coffee and scone from the on-site cafe. The lady and the young man were very welcoming and friendly. We will certainly revisit as exhibitions change.
It is an amazing place full of hidden treasures and fascinating things to see and learn about. There is something for everyone from the youngest to the oldest visitor. I'll be back very soon. Schools should be taking pupils there.
