Lancaster Park & Animal Farm offers the opportunity to interact with and feed farm animals, along with various activities and games. Managed by the Lancaster family, the park first opened in 2011. Their goal is to provide a nurturing environment for each animal to ensure they lead a happy and healthy life. Visitors can stroll through the valley of the River Irk and feed the animals on the picturesque Nature Walk. The park also features mini quad rides at the Rooster Rally and a Caterpillar Barrel Ride for a relaxing experience. Throughout the year, Lancaster Park & Animal Farm hosts numerous special events. The park includes many picnic benches for visitors and has a dedicated play area for children.

2025 Update: Lancaster Park & Animal Farm provides online booking for Halloween and Christmas events.

Saddleworth Museum presents its collections, shop, and facilities in a modern reception area, within a building that dates back to 1862. The canal-side community gallery provides additional space for local activities and hosts a variety of art exhibitions, presentations, fundraising events, and educational programs. The museum is primarily funded through visitor admissions, gallery income, fundraising events, and donations. They regularly refresh displays, create new themed exhibits, and rotate collection items to keep the galleries engaging. In addition to its exhibitions, the museum offers a range of locally handcrafted items, many of which feature a Saddleworth theme.
