Fantastic place to stay when hiking the Pennine Way! Interior is very authentic and lovely. Superb host, incredibly friendly. Nice ride back to the Pennine Way for 3 pounds. Dinner is a short walk down to the Diggle Hotel.

Bill and his Son are one of the most pleasant host's we have come across nothing to much trouble and the views from our room and the conservatory are outstanding. And Sally the dog is beautiful.

Lovely hosts. Comfortable room. Great breakfast to start the day and a lift back up the hill to the pennine way trail was great!! Thank you. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

We booked one night to attend a celebration in the next village. This accommodation was perfect, warm, clean, very comfortable bed and facilities with plenty of parking and spectacular views. Alice our host was very friendly and cooked us a very satisfying full English breakfast. Just a short taxi ride into Uppermill where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars. Great area to go rambling or just take time out to enjoy the beautiful countryside. A perfect find!

The location is splendid. If you are a lover of nature like me, the Shippon is the place to be. Very cute countryside with a good view of the valley. Tasty English Breakfast, clean environment and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Thanks Alice for the warm hospitality. I’ll definitely be back.

We stayed in the B&B for one night. Fabulous place and views. Really comfortable, quiet and clean room. The breakfast was delicious and our host Alice was very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Although I confirmed over the telephone weeks ahead of stay that bedroom will be 3 beds, upon arrival I was devastated when told by reception staff that no note on system, however Jennifer used her discretion and allocated a room downstairs by the front entrance with added extra beds to accommodate us lads who travelled from London to attend friends wedding.

Stayed here for 3 nights absolutely lovely staff especially Jennifer on reception really lovely helpful lady i would have been lost without her as new to area so kind thankyou totally enjoyed my stay and pets are very welcome.

Friendly staff happy to help after our recent disaster. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Good size considering there was 3 adults in the family room. 100% recommend, Toby carvery next door which is handy.
