TOP 3 THE WHITE HART INN AT LYDGATE REVIEWS

An excellent venue, ran by a top-notch team, with fantastic food! We recently held a car club pop-up meet here, and the team went above and beyond. The initial booking, marshalling the large car park, exemplary customer service, a beautiful function room, and delicious food. The whole evening was 10/10. A special thank you to Eric, who made sure everything was to his high standards.

We went for Sunday lunch yesterday and the food was absolutely excellent. Genuinely one of the best roasts I’ve ever had, which is unusual because they’re usually done really badly everywhere. The beef was tender and perfectly cooked, great roasties, excellent gravy, good solid carrot and leek, very good stuffing ball… Faultless really. And the sticky toffee pudding was also a 10/10. Service was friendly. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food and friendly staff,lovely location and atmosphere,not stayed in the rooms but if they're anything like the rest of the place then I would imagine they're excellent too,you need to go eat here.

Just had our wedding at Smokies last week. What a great venue. Staff all were great and couldn't do enough for us and our guests. From planning to the actual wedding day everything was spot on. Clare and Jamie made sure everything went to plan and were reassuring all day. The food was fantastic, decor was great too. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were full of compliments. The bar staff, catering staff were fantastic. Thoroughly looked after by all.

The Hotel was amazing the rooms and bedding fantastic could not fault it . The staff were helpful nothing was too much for them in terms of helping you with your luggage to serving drinks and food. And as for the breakfast the team this morning did a fantastic job it was well executed.and the quality fantastic. My overall experience was. Can't wait to go back. Even though I went to a wedding amazing, amazing thank you all for a brilliant time.

Amazing experience at this hotel. Becky and the reception staff were all absolutely excellent and the room was perfect! Thanks so much. Will definitely be back when visiting our family in the area.

For the name and price I want expecting much, just wanted a place to test my head after a night out. But honestly beds were much comfier and rooms larger than expected. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Only *minor* criticism is that the doors don't soft close so you can hear them slamming as people go on our or our of rooms but it's not super loud.

Decent hotel for the price. Good value at £50 a night for 3 of us. Lots of food places close by and plenty of parking at the hotel. The only downside was we only had a double and single bed as there were no other rooms available, so one of us got the short straw and had to sleep on the window cill on the air bed.

We stay here quite often. We have always had a good experience. Beds are clean and extra wide, bathroom was clean and shower worked well. Breakfast is buffet style and very nice. Staff are always lovely and willing to help.
