VERULAMIUM MUSEUM REVIEWS

Lovely little museum, loads of interesting items and loads of history, has plenty of interactive bits so great for the kids. Spent about 45 minutes to an hour overall. Really nice place. The little sections about make it feel interesting so you don't feel board. 10/10 for a small museum.

This place was amazing and such great value. See photo for entrance prices. It comprises of three parts to the visit. The first is the museum, there are so many artifacts to see. The mosaics and small findings are in such good condition. The next part is the building with the mosaic in situ. Then there is the amphitheatre. The entrance ticket gets you into all of them. I'll definitely be returning.

Fascinating insight into the Roman world literally under our feet. Great for adults and children alike. Some amazing items on display. Definitely worth a visit. Also, the Roman theatre was really interesting.

DE HAVILLAND AIRCRAFT MUSEUM REVIEWS

A lovely museum, with a very reasonable entry fee. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have some beautifully restored pieces and they look like they are constantly updating the information to give the museum a modern feel. One of the staff told me that the visitor numbers fell through the pandemic and never returned to where they used to be. This place is definitely worth a visit, there are three gorgeous examples of the "Wooden Wonder" Mosquito on display.

This location is remarkable. I had the opportunity to visit in the late 1990s and early 2000s, prior to the construction of new hangars and the display of more recent aircraft. It was an extraordinary experience to witness such a large number of aircraft, and it evoked fond memories of visits I shared with my late grandfather.

What a good museum tucked away in the countryside. It's a bit tricky to find the entrance, but it's good for families. Really interesting

Fascinating building. Good cafe . One can eat in old courthouse . Quite an experience ! Museum very interesting when I visited mid July. A every interesting exhibition on history of Ladybird books which I remembered from childhood.

Most definitely vist, there is always something new happening here. We have just visited the Windrush exhibition - they have not only put on an exhibition but have dedicated it to the Windrush of ST Albans which truly connects you to the History and the amazing people that make St Albans what it is today.

I didn't get to look round the museum on this visit, but will definitely be back. It's a great place to stop for a coffee as the seating is in the old courthouse. It was really quirky and fun. Lots of photo opportunities. From the dock you can go down the stairs a prisoner would have taken to the cells.
