“The Railway Tavern provides a menu that guarantees a busy lunchtime crowd, while the extensive bar offering draws in the evening and weekend revellers. The Railway Tavern's large beer garden to the rear of the property, fully equipped with plasma TVs showing all the sporting action, has proved especially popular. You must try their Chicken Goujons, which contain chicken goujons deep-fried until golden brown and served with chips, coleslaw, salad and a choice of dip. The Railway Tavern offers outdoor seating, live music and quiz night.

THE RAVEN'S CLIFF REVIEWS

I was really pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean, tidy and quiet. Checking in and getting settled was a breeze. I had an issue with my door card not letting me into my room and someone from reception came straight over (I had heavy bags and a toddler so couldn’t go to them) with no hesitation and sorted it right out for me. The food was nice, service was friendly and bed was comfy. Very good for the price. Would definitely stay again.

For the price we paid, the stay was fantastic, by far the cheapest trip. Signage at reception would be cool. Only 2 sugars provided in the room, but we have our own. Fantastic food, 3 courses for dinner, cooked classic breakfast in the morning. Fast, attentive and friendly service.

Stayed here for a week with work, hotel was nice. Food was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic service, completely recommend. And love the window of dogs.

Amazing! Favourite place to eat out. I always get the same thing- Ying Yang chicken, Chinese Chicken Curry & Caramel Shortcake Sunday. This is also my sons favourite place to eat too (kids menu). I've actually never met anyone who has had a bad meal here. Staff are lovely too.

Great pub n restaurant, fantastic food really enjoyed it great atmosphere, friendly staff can't help enough , I had the breaded chicken, came with chips, salad n mayo dip , n a cocktail, prices are good , good over all family run business great to see it thriving, also getting refurbished.

Chose here for lunch, main eating area was full but we were directed to the bar which also had dining tables. Service was fast and efficient. Our meals were amazing. Would definitely visit again and tell anyone looking for somewhere to eat to give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Went in with my mum for mother's day for a wee change. Nice crowd, friendly atmosphere. Nice staff. Quick service. Had 3 courses each and drinks-well worth money, absolutely stuffed, food was amazing. Great if ur in to Watch the football or have a nice wee meal.

Your choice of pub in north lanarkshire will say much about you. The Tavern is loved by its patrons, thought of less as pub and more a much loved institution by those who frequent this establishment. Great food. Brilliant service. Televised football and music. This pub has it all. A great place to unwind after a hard week at work.

Service always good here. The back garden area is nicely thought out and decorated. You wouldn't know you were in Motherwell. Drinks reasonably priced too. Always busy with a good atmosphere.
