“La Vaca is a family-run steakhouse that proudly offers Yorkshire meats cooked over an open charcoal grill served with Latin American music. The chef uses only the highest quality beef and grills it over an open charcoal grill. Their Anticuchos Grandes is prepared using two large mixed skewers of beef, chicken and chorizo and served with mixed green salad and chips. La Vaca has a tasty selection of meats, and the steak is perfectly cooked. You can taste their Champiñones Rellenos, which contain stuffed portobello mushrooms with goat's cheese, spinach and red onions served with a mixed green salad. La Vaca offers a kids' menu.

Sophie was fantastic as first time to visit. Explained procedure. Ordered lamb which to be honest was very good but one or two pieces were a bit chewy. Personally prefer more well done to prevent this so if you order state want very well done. Was super never the less. Cook to order takes time as I did not want to spoil appetite with a starter.

The staff were absolutely fantastic with my youngest son, they were all in ore of him and so friendly. The food was out of this world, I added in the special requests that it was a surprise for my husbands birthday and they arranged a lovely special treat for his dessert. 10/10 visit.

The steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted great The drinks were nice and refreshing The sauces tasted really good The fried onion was a bit too greasy and on one plate was overcooked and hard The sauteed greens had an unpleasant smell to them. Whilst we understand that greens can smell like this, it is something that we think can be avoided with the right herbs or a bit of bay leaves whilst it's being sauteed, to counteract the smell. Overall, a very pleasant experience! Our steak expert Faith was great and we thank her for her great service and professionalism.

LA VACA REVIEWS

My partner and I visited La Vaca for the first time yesterday evening and it will now be one of our favourite places to go. We’re are already planning to return with our family. Gorgeous food and amazing service! The restaurant has a really homely atmosphere and all the staff were so attentive and polite. My partner had prawns pil pil to start that he said was divine and the best steak he’s ever had for main. I decided to get a starter and few sides as I like to try as much as I can! Everything was perfect. We can’t wait to come back.

If you're looking for the best steakhouse in Sheffield, you found it! It's called La Vaca! Bring your family, your friends and surprise them with a proper meal! I highly recommend this place.

Hidden gem perfectly describes this place, been twice in recent months and look forward to our next visit. On most recent visit the 30oz t bone was cooked to perfection, juicy and really flavoursome. Staff are always very welcoming and friendly throughout your stay. Not a big place so always worth phoning to reserve a table. You will not leave hungry or disappointed.

Always enjoy going to Cutlery Works. Loads of choice and always great quality.. but when me and my wife called in for food on the 23rd of August this year. I was blown away by the food at Butcher and Catch. Seriously. You have to try it. I went for Dan’s Big Plate and was not disappointed, at all. It was sensational. Had to go and thank the guys at the counter - turns out Dan was in and cooked my meal. Some of the meat joints in Sheffield have been dropping in quality or plate size of late.. but this. This was worth every penny and more! Thanks Dan and Team. Neale Jarrett.

Had a great lunch meal here. We were served by Caitlin who made us feel welcome was greeted by the chef. The burgers were nice with a chargrilled taste. The children's menu offered good value as well. Came to around £50 for 3 people which is very fair.

Dan was really friendly when I went to order, food came in a reasonable time and was really tasty. I'll be back to try more of the menu. We had the mussels, soft shell crab roll and the calamari, everyone was happy. Separate business, but the bar and floor staff deserve a shout out too.
