I had a great experience with Michael at Lapworth Architects. They handled a very unique and complex planning application for my property, which involved a lot of challenges and regulations. They were professional, creative, and responsive throughout the process, and delivered a high-quality solution that met all my requirements and expectations. They also liaised with the council and other parties on my behalf, and ensured that the application was approved smoothly and quickly. We employed Michael andJames and Lapworth Architects to design a double storey extention to our house in Earlswood. James with the help of Mike achieved planning consent for a 75% volume increase in Green Belt. They helped find a builder and agreed a detailed payment plan. James visited the house during the build stage on 4 occasions without any costs implication.

Michael was great and helped us out of a difficult spot. We hadn't realised that we had to apply for retrospective planning permission on a change to our garage roof. Michael arranged for the drawings to be done quickly and organised the paperwork for the application well ahead of the deadline that had been set for us. Thankfully it all went well and we now have the necessary permissions.

Living in the Conservation Area of Kinver, the design of our extension and garage was always going to be something that would test. From the first meeting, taking the brief, producing various iterations of drawings, through the convoluted Planning Application and Listed Building Consent, the closing out of Reserved Matters and the production of the construction drawings, The General Architecture Company stood by our side and simply delivered what they said they would, on the agreed dates. We love working from Matt and Kevin's drawings- having a detailed and accurate set of drawings makes life so much easier for us and the clients, both during the quoting process, and in the actual construction. They are so careful to make sure that everything works and is actually buildable, and they are always on hand to resolve or advise on anything that comes up during the build. This really saves a lot of time and greatly reduces the risk of additional costs for us and the clients.

We are really delighted with the designs from the General Architecture company. Kevin and his colleague really listened to our needs and came up with a design that was in keeping with the age of the property that maintained original features, whilst incorporating our needs for fish tanks, bike storage, and light! The design also allowed completion in stages to minise disruption for family life. Kevin was able to answer queries promptly and help with all aspects of the planning process.
