TOP 3 SALFORD MUSEUM AND ART GALLERY REVIEWS

You can take a look at the museum if you are in the area. There is an exhibition about an old street in Manchester where life back then is depicted. It's very authentic and nice to look at. The gallery has a lot of pictures that were hung out of context. According to the description, they should fit the period and therefore a lot of pictures can be exhibited. As a visitor it is very difficult to keep an overview or to be able to assign the pictures. All in all very nice for a stay of 30 minutes but no more.

Great venue, lots to see, good emphasis on local history. The Victoria street is excellent and the cafe serves a lovely coffee too. Parking available on site £2.50 for 3 hours. Free entry to the museum and gallery.

I love this place, could have spend longer there as there is so much to see permenant collection, temporary exibitions and even a victorian street reconstruction and its all free. I got a good service in the cafe as well.

I’m a studio holder here and it’s a really fantastic supportive and creative community at a place that has a lot of respect for its industrial and creative history. Great location, out of the main city centre so easy to drive to and park at, but also walking distance from bus and tram stops which make it easy to get to without driving as well. Hold some great events too.

I’ve attended several events here, and each one has been unique and engaging. It’s definitely a must-visit for art lovers.

Me and some friends went to a drag market on the premises to promote our own venue and it was a great place, made new friends as it was very warm and welcoming.

I really enjoyed the Lowry tbh we only went for his paintings which I thought was well displayed and loads of information about him and his life as well. Looked a well set up theater and space little cafe and shop Shop was well stocked of little bits staff was very polite and helpful.

Lovely venue and staff so friendly Could do either more bar staff for the short interval or better queuing system.Try and use public transport as getting out of the multi story took over 30 minutes at the end Thanks.

The biggest L S Lowry collection in the world. A wide range of his art on display, and not just the industrial scenes for which he is widely known. Some great interactive installations too.
