“2025 Update: Greggs Bridgend is part of a well-known UK bakery chain that sells fresh bread, sandwiches, savoury snacks, and sweet treats. Greggs started by selling eggs and yeast. Ten years later, the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street in Newcastle. “Beat is owned by Jill Williams. The bakery is a bakehouse and coffee store based on Station Hill, Bridgend, perfectly placed for commuters and locals. With a passion for offering freshly baked bread, patisserie cakes, Danish pastries, and deep-filled sandwiches, they also provide the best single-origin coffee, with most of their coffee roasted in Wales. They showcase some of the products they use in their store so that you can take home the finest ingredients directly from their store. Beat aims to support as many local, Welsh, and British products as possible. They believe in supporting the local economy and having the freshest ingredients possible, so they focus on sourcing from local suppliers. Their eggs are from Heol-y-Cyw, milk and butter are supplied by Ty Tangwyst in Porthcawl, and their coffee is provided by various Welsh roasters such as Durstons, Hard Lines, and Coal Town, to name a few. They use many local producers and strive to showcase the best of Welsh food and drink businesses.

Was served by some kind gentleman, named Dylan he was very kind, we took our great granddad who suffers with cerebral palsy and has trouble getting about. Dylan was very patient with him, would 100% recommend for a raise and manager position.

What can I say but Greggs is Greggs- you know the menu, you know the standards, you know the prices! A clean place with loads of parking spaces outside. Love a Greggs.

Food is fantastic and even though there's there's queue for social distancing they are very quick so don't have to wait long. Staff are very helpful and seem happy and polite.

This is a really superb little coffee house on the approach road to Bridgend railway station. Always busy and it's clear why. Delicious home baked cakes and pastries by Holly and freshly ground coffee and brewed tea by Adrian. Very highly recommended! A really successful and well run independent business in the heart of the town.

By far the best coffee shop and bakery in Bridgend. Located a short walk from the train station makes it perfect for any commuter. Delicious selection of artisan cakes, breads and pastries baked on site along with great coffee and even better service. Support local and give these guys the love they deserve. 12/10.

The best coffee spot. Always outstanding service, the quality of the coffee is superb, and the bakes are phenomenal. They really care about every detail. One of my favourite places. Every trip is special.

Lovely bakery selling a gorgeous selection of cakes, fresh bread & rolls, hot pastries & fresh sandwiches & fresh filled rolls. I purchased a Manchester tart as I haven't been able to get hold of one of these for years & it did not disappoint as it was delicious, it did help that I was served by the loveliest friendly lady who was so warm & chatty that it made me feel so happy that I chose to drive to Bridgend from Cardiff where I'm staying, I can't wait to go back as there is so much choice of what I haven't seen anywhere else that even comes close to this lovely selection.

My family cannot get over how lovely this bakery is and my mum usually comes all the way down just because she wants to go to Jenkins! I bought a goodie bag for them today and my aunt never had a Manchester tart but I brought two up and she could not believe how delicious they were! My partner also loves the corned beef pasties, can't go wrong with this bakery.

This is the best place to buy pasties and custard slices they are the best custard slices around. The only one downside is that whoever cuts them into size needs stronger glasses as they are never equal .
