“Douglas Bakery offers handmade pies, sausage rolls, and artisan breads, all baked right in front of you. They make as much as possible by hand, using raw ingredients and suppliers from as close to Douglas as possible. The bakery loves to make pies, sausage rolls, focaccia, treacle scones, apple flips, Irn Bru bread, and whatever else they feel like making on any given day.

Lovely bakery in the middle of strathaven! Always have a huge variety of fresh made breads, cakes, and savoury pies! If you’re lucky enough to be there when there’s macaroni pies - buy them!! The rhubarb pies are made seasonally and are so delicious!

Great quality. Nice selection of breads and cakes. Can also sit in across the road. I had the all day breakfast roll on this visit and it was yummy.

Delicious soup and soda bread today - cauliflower, courgette and kale! Tray bake and generous cup of coffee to finish. Nice and clean. Friendly, efficient staff.

I can’t rate the Douglas bakery high enough. The pies and pastries are possibly the best I’ve ever tasted. The two ladies were busy making the sausage rolls unbelievably lovely. Really friendly place. Well worth a short detour of the M74.

Hands down the best sausage roll I've ever eaten. Husband had the salt and chilli beef pie which was absolutely delicious too, generous pieces of beef and it was really lean/well cooked. Finished off with an apricot cream which was lovely. Well worth a detour for! Bakery itself looked lovely and clean, staff were very friendly.

I honestly ate the most heavenly sausage roll in history. It had the perfect temperature, perfect texture and the flavour was ridiculously good. I would drive 50 miles to just eat here again. If you want the best sausage roll in Britain you know where to go!

Fantastic business. Have purchased multiple times over the last maybe 9months and everything is lovely. The breads are incredible, the bakes amazing and great service. The Pizza doughball delivery is a great new addition! We love making our own pizzas at home. Highly recommend!

The best bakery in South Lanarkshire. The food is incredible: great variety, great prices and great sizes. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. My children love to come in and chat to staff and pick a cake, it’s now part of our weekend routine.

The best place in town for their amazing bread and cakes. Don't buy my bread from anywhere else now and In in weekly to stock up. Carol made an amazing birthday cakes for my twin girls too. Staff are so lovely and friendly, a real gem in Hamilton. Thanks for making the best bread ever! Your best customer.
