KIRK LEA GUEST HOUSE REVIEWS
The Urban Oasis Suites provided a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. The modern design and lush greenery created a tranquil atmosphere. Our suite was spacious and had a balcony overlooking a private garden. The concierge was attentive and helped us discover hidden gems in the city. It's the perfect blend of urban convenience and relaxation.
Homely and unpretentious bed and breakfast Guest House at an excellent price, especially for single rooms. Maybe it doesn't have all the refined touches but all the essentials you need are provided to a good standard and with a welcoming and capable attitude. An excellent breakfast is included in the price, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Great experience! Pearl and David were very accommodating, the breakfast was tremendous, and overall I felt at home. An easy walk to and from the train station also helped. Will be back next time I'm in Halifax!

PLOUGHCROFT COTTAGE REVIEWS
Probably the best B&B I've ever stayed in. George and Karen are such a warm and friendly couple. The rooms are delightful and spotlessy clean with a superb en suite bathroom (room 3) with everything you might need. Breakfast was wonderful with a most delicious fresh fruit starter followed by a delicious full English. I will not be staying in Halifax again if i cant stay here. Book it.....you will not be disappointed.
We stayed at Ploughcroft Cottage this weekend as we were going to a concert at the Piece Hall in Halifax. Karen and George were very welcoming and helpful. On arrival they ran through everything that we needed to know and then showed us to our beautifully finished room with a great view over Calderdale (we believe the rooms have been recently renovated and they certainly appeared to have been). Our cooked breakfasts were absolutely fantastic and everything was clearly of a high quality. Our only small qualm was that we forgot to take our non-dairy milk and so couldn’t enjoy a cuppa. But this was our mistake and we wouldn’t expect a small b&b to cater for all the dietary requirements that people have these days, especially as we didn’t mention it before we arrived.
Excellent hospitality. Rooms were immaculate and the attention to detail was amazing. Highly recommended. Great views over Halifax.

SHEARS INN PARIS GATES REVIEWS
My friend recently moved to the area and we stumbled on this pub while walking the dog on the canal. Once we noticed they did food we ordered Sunday roasts. It was like having a roast dinner at a friend or families house - big portion with plenty of meat, everything seemed homemade and was very tasty. We then noticed they did breakfast so walked on again this morning for that - very good also. We will definitely be coming again!
My wife and I met up for lunch with 4 members of the family. We all enjoyed our meals . In fact, we stayed chatting for over 3 hours, not rushed and finished off with coffee's enjoyed so much we will be there again next month.
Went in a few weeks ago after football. Place is small and they do food so gets busy at the bar but beer was great. Bar lady (Dani? I think she may have been called?) was very apologetic about delays. Cant be helped when 30 or 40 people descend at once after a match.
