We loved our stay at the Black Hole - the local history and prison-style decor makes it a really unique hotel, whilst still maintaining a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. It was great having access to the kitchen area for drinks and snacks, and the staff were incredibly helpful, giving us some great recommendations for the area. Perfect spot for anyone visiting Winchester!

A wonderful stay in a great room with wonderful staff. The jail theme is a great addition without being overbearing and the thelme throughout the property is amazing and shows a lot of thought has been given to it, which is also present in all other areas of the service and amenities. It was just a shame the weather wasn't good enough to make use of the rooftop terrace.

We loved our stay here. The rooms are quirky, the breakfast was good and the location excellent. We were able, from this base to explore Winchester properly for the first time and loved it.

Had a really enjoyable 3 night stay at this fantastic Bed & Breakfast. Ideally situated in a quiet part of Winchester but only a short walk into the town centre with all the sights and attractions. Large comfortable bedrooms looking out onto the garden and a generous breakfast that sets you up for the day. And Dotty, Nick & their family are very friendly & welcoming hosts. Would highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast when staying in Winchester.

Stayed in this beautiful b&b on2.6.24 and would highly recommend to anyone staying in Winchester. 5min walk down to centre and located in lovely quiet area. The rooms are spacious with quality furnishings. Love breakfast sitting around the kitchen table while dotty prepared bacon and eggs chatting away. Will definitely be back.

Brilliant location, large room in beautiful old house and with free parking. Very friendly hosts and excellent breakfast. Will definitely be arranging another stay. Would highly recommend.

CATHEDRAL COTTAGE BED AND BREAKFAST REVIEWS

I've always wanted to stay in a BnB like this one! It was like I was in a period drama! We just turned up at the door and rang the bell and was so happy when Christine opened the door and said there is 1 room in the house that is available. We didn't get to stay in the 'cottage' but the room inside the house was very comfortable and we shared a bathroom with the owners. It was superbly clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was 5 star! Full English and very filling! Thank you so much and we hope we'll get to Winchester again soon.

Absolutely fantastic. Nice cosy room, lovely breakfast, and gracious hosting from Christine. A short walk from all of the best that Winchester had to offer as well as good pubs and restaurants just around the corner, while still getting a quiet night’s sleep. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. I had a wonderful time here and when I come back this is the place to stay.

A very friendly and welcoming place to stay. Comfortable with an excellent breakfast.
