THE WINCHESTER ROYAL HOTEL REVIEWS
Convenient location right in the centre of town. Lovely garden for eating outside. Rooms are of good size with coffee station well stocked up. Breakfast was OK but eating/reception areas feel a bit like a maze which can get you lost when trying to get back to your table with your breakfast! Coffee was pre-made in glass coffee jug, not as hot as fresh coffee/from thermos. No coffee cups from the breakfast buffet, so you have to fetch/take them with you from your table that's been laid out. A bit of back and forth situation. A staff saw us struggled with our pushchair when going down a few steps but offered no help. Reception staff was accommodating with our request of early check in (£). Keys needed activating a few times.
Food in restaurant fabulous, dinner and breakfast. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Excellent location within walking distance of everything. Thoroughly recommend.
Where else can you lodge in an inner city hotel and still walk on the grass barefoot in the morning dew? Beautiful setting, calm and restorative. Wonderful supper, satisfying breakfast. Reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

THE WINCHESTER HOTEL & SPA REVIEWS
A very comfortable clean hotel. Easy walk into town centre. The spa was a lovely place to relax. Staff very friendly. Every where was very clean. Luxury bathroom with toiletries supplied. Only reason for 4 stars : the tv reception was awful, intermittent break up of transmission on all channels. The parking bays behind the hotel are dreadfully small.
Gorgeous rooms and I loved the tiling in the bathroom and the waterfall showers. Beds were super comfy and WiFi worked well. The spa areas were also very well-appointed, good number of loungers and the sauna and steam rooms were so good! Everything was clean. The hotel is in a good location as well, close to train and easy walking distance to the city centre.
Lovely modern cream and black decking area to eat outside. Nice and quiet on a summer afternoon. It started to rain but decking area has an extending canope. So l imagine it would also be lovely in winter with the heaters on too.

THE WYKEHAM ARMS REVIEWS
One of the best pubs in Winchester - if not the best! The pub has amazing character and really transports you back in time a bit to a good old fashioned pub, best Guiness in Winchester also, very friendly and helpful staff. Will hopefully be back when I return from holidays. Never eaten there but the dining areas are always fully booked and I look forward to trying it soon.
Evening meal for 2. Warm welcome, the old pub has a unique comfort and charm and an eclectic vibe that embraces you. The menu is quite unique, full of local and fresh food that is superbly presented and great, unexpected flavours. The mackerel was quite outstanding, gently flavored with wonderful texture. The only downside was that the service dropped off after the main course, but this is a pub, albeit one very high up there in quality.
Always a great atmosphere. Feels like walking back in time when the pace of life was gentler. Rightly regarded as a go to venue in the old heart of Winchester.
