We had a quiet lunch and shared a seafood platter, staff were so friendly and welcoming and our server Beth was really quick and attentive, the platter was plated really nicely and the ingredients were fresh and overall the whole experience made our day and was really lovely. We don't get out much and Beth was very understanding of our kerfuffle so thanks to all that hosted us!

Lovely venue next to the River Skell and with superb staff who were happy to help and have a laugh. Food was delicious and my fish in the foil was outstanding. Well.done guys.

What a lovely place for a drink, bar staff was very polite and friendly, beer prices more than reasonable. We would definitely recommend this pub..

What a wonder place! We travelled from Darlington for a walk around fountains abbey and were ready for some lunch after our walk. So glad we picked here, we were welcomed quickly, service was brilliant, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and so many things to choose from which will definitely keep us coming back for more! We might even bring the little people next time. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Heaps of gluten free options. Open about the potential to cross contamination. I’m very sensitive to contamination and had no reaction. Delicious food best of the trip so far by leaps and bounds! Cocktail selection wonderful and the ‘English Garden’ was fantastic. Service impeccable and so friendly. Well done guys, wish I got your names to mention you personally! Here on Sat 25th Aug.

What a find!! Hannah/Anna (sorry not sure of her name!) looked after us and our little dogs superbly well! What a lovely welcome! And the food was delicious! The fish finger sandwich was absolutely sensational! Lovely decoration, amazing service, great food, superb location! Absolutely loved the place! 10 out of 10! Thank you for having us! x.

Called in for a lunch, the barmaid on duty greeted us with a smile and showed us 4 to a table by the window. The menu was so good, but what to choose I went for the belly pork. I choose well, it was a mouth watering delight. The table service was first class, so was the selection of Timothy Tailor beers. One of the best meals, and service from a hotel I have experience in a long time. Thank you for looking after us, so well. Food & drinks: First class.

Didn't stay , just popped in for lunch. What a pleasant surprise. The great menu and food was brilliant. Call in when you're in Ripon !!!

Had a superb lunch. Both mains, kids meads and desserts were excellent, as was the service.
