Lovely cafe, quite busy for a 'secret' cafe. We were walking along the canal when we saw a sign to this little gem. Looked like they had a lot of regulars. They have a range of food options. I got the BLT sandwich and a latte, the sandwich portion was more than enough. We also got their soup of the day which was cream of mushroom. My friends ordered omelette and eggs Benedict. Food were presented well, decent in portions, delicious and affordable. It has a homey atmosphere too. Can't fault this café.

Lovely place and great food. Very reasonably priced. Our party enjoyed the corned beef and onion pie, the poached eggs on toast and the current teacakes. The cheese and onion pie needed a bit more seasoning but other than that was lovely.

Love the Secret Cafe, food always good and staff great. Thank you, we enjoyed our lunch today!

Nice decor, friendly and helpful staff, good range of food and drinks including vegetarian and vegan options. Good mix of seating over two floors, outdoor seating too. Nice view over the Victorian market building. Wi-fi access.

I've being in here twice in last week and the staff after super friendly it's always busy which shows great atmosphere I haven't had food but can image it's nice 10/10 definitely on customer service nothing is a issue too them.

Always start the day when I'm in Halifax here, the coffee is lovely , the staff are always very pleasant friendly.. great team..

A fantastic place to grab a cup of coffee, sit down and relax. The location is perfect, tucked away on the high street, making it a great spot to escape the crowds. The store is quite spacious, with plenty of tables to choose from, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The coffee is delicious, and there are plenty of sweet treats and fresh cookies to choose from. The desserts are always fresh and baked to perfection, making them the perfect accompaniment to your coffee. I visited with my business partner and had a fantastic experience. We were able to work comfortably while enjoying our drinks and snacks. I highly recommend this branch for anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to relax, grab a coffee and a bite to eat.

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Tristan and Liam at Halifax Costa — absolute stars! From the moment I walked in, they were welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It’s not often you come across such genuine service. Their energy and customer care really made my visit a great experience. Keep it up, guys. you’re a credit to the Costa team! Will definitely come again.
