Cliff Railway Cafe prides itself on customer service and locally sourced, homemade produce. They buy ingredients from as many local, independent suppliers as possible.

2025 Update: Cliff Railway Cafe is located right on the cliff edge in Babbacombe. You can enjoy homemade cakes, scones, sandwiches, oven-baked jacket potatoes, and daily specials. There’s plenty of street parking and a large outdoor terrace to take in the scenery. MEADFOOT BEACH CAFE REVIEWS

Small fantastic beach with cafe above and pay as you use toilets at the back of cafe, food fantastic very fresh and reasonably priced good menu, lots of drinks also. Beach is really nice but take water/beach shoes very rocky. Clear blue waters all around with fantastic views, a must go too.

I love this place. Since I moved in Devon I always go here when I can. I have to tell that this place get busier and busier all the times I go there but it is worth it. Meadfoot Beach Cafe is right on the beach. You can drink your coffee with the brizee touching your face and your hairs. The drink are nice and also every food they made are delightful. I have try the toast and it is nice but also the chicken burger (another time) is tasty. The bun is fresh and obviously the chicken. I raccomend it!

This place was fabulous - what a find. We had a coffee and ice-cream in the sun with beautiful views, everyone was friendly, the seats were comfortable and it was great.

CLIFF RAILWAY CAFE REVIEWS

We had a delicious breakfast sandwich at this very popular cafe yesterday. The service was excellent. Reggie was given a dog sausage of his own and he loved it !! This is him after finishing it. We were so impressed that we came back after a long walk for some delicious cake and flapjack. Again, the service, staff and food were all great.

A great find, stunning location with fantastic views out to sea. Really friendly staff and one of the best coffees I’ve had in the bay. Thoroughly recommend.

Great food, great view, friendly staff, wish we had found it earlier in the holiday! Scones came warm and freshly baked and homemade with proper clotted cream. Dog friendly and great views for out door dining.

LIGHTHOUSE CONTINENTAL CAFE BAR REVIEWS

During a recent day trip to Torquay in May, my wife, our small dog, and I were searching for a nice dog-friendly place to have lunch. We decided to try the Lighthouse Continental Café Bar, and we were so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, we received a warm and friendly welcome. It was a hot day, so we chose to eat outside. Our dog was promptly given a rug to sit on, and it wasn't long before she received a bowl of water and some treats. What a fantastic start! The food and drinks we ordered arrived promptly and were of excellent quality. The prices were also quite reasonable. In conclusion, we had a first-class experience and we are happy to recommend The Lighthouse Continental Cafe Bar we will certainly make a beeline here on future visits.

We came in here for a coffee with our boy Otto and we liked it so much we came back for lunch, the staff were lovely and very attentive, we were planning on sitting outside as Otto can be abit vocal inside however we was encouraged to sit inside and I’m so glad we did, can not recommend enough.

What a lovely little eatery this place is. Facing the beautiful tranquil harbour. The decor was attractive, the staff friendly & welcoming with a smile. The sandwiches are not only delicious, but very reasonably priced. Dogs welcome with a section dedicated to treats, clean bowls & fresh cold drinking water. Any drink your heart desires was no trouble, from coffee to cocktails. I will definitely be back! Well done team.
