Having purchased my Ford from Dinnages 13 months ago & having done only 8k on the clock I was horrified to discover that a loud noice coming from the car was diagnosed by ANOTHER garage (where I had taken the car for an MOT and they were doing follow up work) that they would need to replace the gearbox for an eye watering amount of money. As the car was not that old and the mileage was slightly below average for its age I felt I should discuss the situation with Dinnages. I contacted the Sales Manager, Richard who very kindly listened to my concerns and requested I got the car to them so they could assess. I was treated extremely respectfully and kept updated throughout the 2 days they had the car and yes there was a problem with the gearbox, but a small part not the entire thing. By agreeing for them to strip down to diagnose, which the estimate for this was very reasonable, it gave me the peace of mind that I did the right thing, although lesson learnt on where to take your car for MOT and servicing, local and perhaps cheaper is not always best.
