Mr Pomroy was recommended by the previous owner and he has done my annual chimney sweep for the last 6 years now. The communication from Mr & Mrs is very professional (do book in advance, service is high in demand) and job is done to a very high standard. You will not find a cheerier whistle-while-you-work Chimney Sweep.

We have used Mr. Pomroy ever since we had our Clearview stove fitted. He is very professional, a perfectionist, meticulous in his work, totally reliable with his bookings( if he says he will come, he comes). We recommend him most highly.

Been using Mr Pomeroy since our stove was first installed in 2013. Always arrives on time. Service is great. Be warned he gets booked up in advance…. Try and be organised and get him booked in late spring or early summer!

Just had Jon at our property sweeping our multi fuel burner, he is very friendly, explains the whole process of sweeping and works very cleanly, would not hesitate recommending him to my friends and family. Thanks Jon, Emma and Katy. - Emi M Reply

Having never used the services of a chimney sweep before, we chose Steve at Barkers based on the reviews on here - we were not disappointed! Steve is professional, knowledgeable, reliable and friendly. We felt really comfortable and reassured that we had picked the right person for the job. The whole process was explained and he gave us safety advice about carbon monoxide monitors and fuel types. Best of all, not a spec of dust was left behind. Thank you for an excellent service Steve, see you next year.

Fantastic service. Steve is a really friendly chap - arrived on time, was very happy to educate me a little more on my chimney and on carbon monoxide monitoring etc too. Did a great job with the chimney. Very clean too. I will be using him yearly now to service our chimney.

Matthew has been cleaning my chimney since I had a log/coal burner installed at home over 5 years ago. I find him personable, reliable, knowledgeable and its nice to catch up with him on his yearly visits. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a chimney sweep that does not cost the earth and does a good job.
