ST VINCENT'S CATHOLIC CHURCH

40 Pickmere Road, Crookes, Sheffield S10 1GY Directions

Since 1853

Here’s The Deal:
St Vincent's Catholic Church is located in the centre of the City of Sheffield, established to serve the emigrants from Ireland. At initial stages, the church was designated as a Chapel; but due to rapid growth in the population of the locality, it was expanded as a church with the addition of a nave and a chancel in 1856. As years started rolling, a church tower was built and the entrance was expanded in a Norman-style architecture. St Vincent's Catholic Church was destroyed during the second world war; the damage includes valuable stain glass windows present in the church. The locals started raising funds to re-build the damaged church, which included a new chapel, replacement roofs and organ loft. The new renovation was completed in 2017.
