Tanya Schipelbaum is the Principal, and her business partner and co-owner is Vice-Principal Charlotte West. They have a strong emphasis on dance education while also being fun. Basingstoke Academy of Dancing also facilitates pre-vocational training with a very high success rate for students who want to teach or work professionally in the performing arts industry. Their three dance studios are also available to hire. They achieve excellent exam results in R.A.D. Ballet, I.S.T.D. Modern and Tap. Basingstoke Academy of Dancing has annual productions and takes part successfully in competitions. They are also a Certified Studio with Acrobatic Arts. They also have a great deal of adult classes and specialist Toddler and Pre-School Classes. Family and bulk discounts are available.

Lovely dance academy, teachers are very kind and considerate of everyone’s different dancing abilities. I decided at 21 to join the adult beginner ballet class, and it’s been great. I would recommend this academy to everyone of all ages and abilities.

A fantastic dance school, for all ages and all abilities. Offering a wide range of opportunities including exams, competitions, shows or just dancing for fun.

Really lovely teachers, helpful and supportive but firm when they need to be.

MERAKI DANCE STUDIOS REVIEWS

I have been part of various dance schools over the years with my 2 older daughters and knew I would struggle to find somewhere suitable for Christina. However, the moment we walked in M & M I just knew they were 'the one'! Christina settled straight in and was soon taking exams and became part of the junior competition team. Every member of the M & M team are so friendly and supportive, they really are one big family and we are so proud to be a part of that. We have both made some fabulous friends here and cannot recommend the school enough.

My daughter started her dancing adventure with M & M Academy 18 months ago at 2.5yrs and she LOVES it! When she was new and nervous, the teachers were wonderful - patient, encouraging and accepting to her feelings. Now nearly 4 she runs in and comes home practicing what was learnt. The recent Summer show was simply spectacular. All the kids got involved and the show was a brilliant showcase, of not only talent from the kids, but dedication, commitment and love for dance from all involved at M & M.

My daughter has been dancing at M&M Academy since she was 4yrs old. Over the years I have seen my daughter overcome her shyness,her confidence has grown with her from dancing. I have watched her go from strength to strength on the stage being it in a dance show or at dance completions. One of the biggest achievements that my daughter has won was at a dance competion where she was presented with The judges most promising dancer. This was only acheived through the ongoing teaching,support through the dance school. My daughter has made Best friends at this school to where I would say we are like one big family the support is there when needed. I couldn't of wished for a better dance school than M&M and I would highly recommend this dance school.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first Salsa Bootcamp in Bournemouth and would definitely do it again. Amazing weekend with so much to learn and so much fun at the same time. Thank you to both Davina and Marchant for your outstanding teaching and your compassion. I had a fab time and learnt a lot. I would highly recommend the Alchemy Bootcamp to anyone who wants to learn Salsa On2 or improve their dancing.

If you want to learn On2 salsa this is the place. Great structured syllabus- real expert teachers. Get the grooves then the moves!

Great classes for all levels, knowledgeable friendly teachers and a great social scene too. Highly recommended.
