I highly recommend Sheffield Dog School for puppy training and beyond. I spoke to Jack when I first brought my pup home at 9 weeks about toilet training , I was given some really good advice & tips on quick affective toilet training & I learnt pretty quickly to get rid of all puppy training mats as these were holding us back, plus that the crate was also affective for toilet training and this I agree with 100%. Fast forward to now my border collie is 4 months old and we cracked the toilet training pretty quickly (thank you Jack). Today we had Steven round to do 121 training and he was amazing. Although my pup knew some basics (sit, lay & leave it ) I was struggling with lead pulling , jumping up at people and pulling to every dog we see & I needed advice on recall. We went through everything today, he advised me on some really good collars as we use a harness which isn’t helping with the issues we was having previously. The collar was working out fantastically with the training today including the recall training line in the field. My pup was an absolute star for Steve and she listened and did super with all commands. I was very proud today and Steve left me feeling confident to follow through.

Just had a 1-2-1 session with Steve for my boy Toby today and it was brilliant. Toby is very scared as he’s not been socialised whatsoever by his previous owners and he’s reactive towards other dogs plus taking him for a walk equalled a session at the gym. Within 10 min Steve had Toby walking nicely next to him and by end of the session he was in close distance to Steve’s dogs with no reaction at all. We’ll be following all the steps shown to us and I’m sure Toby will behave better and better every day. Can’t recommend Steve enough, had two 1-2-1s previously with a different trainer and there’s no comparison whatsoever. Steve really knows what he’s talking about and he’s very easy to talk to. Highly recommend! We contacted Sheffield dog school to help stop our 14 month old Labrador from pulling on the lead. We also struggled to get him to settle, he would always be eager to play regardless of the level of daily exercise. Steve visited us and spent time to determine some practical methods that would prevent these behaviours. Just a few days after the visit we had a holiday to Devon. Due to Steves training we were able to have a pleasant break with much better walks and visited many pubs and restaurants with our well behaved pup!

Steve came to help with the issues of lead pulling and lunging that my six month old German Shepherd Lexi has. Within five minutes of Steve entering the house, he had her literally eating out of his hand. He is patient, so unbelievably knowledgeable and down to earth when explaining what to do. Within about an hour going on a walk , her lead pulling was non existent and she was so much more relaxed around people. I myself got quite emotional as it was a pleasure to take her out and such a relief. Thanks Steve.

Brilliant. Steve visited today and understood our concerns and offered solutions. He showed us how to stop our dogs pulling on the lead and also how to stop them lunging at other dogs. He even brought one of his own dogs so ours could learn to walk passed him. He gave us practical things to practice and asked us to let hi. Know how we are progressing and said he would pop back if we still had any problems. I now feel confident that we can train our dogs to be the well behaved pets we want. Thank you - Sue. Reply

Thank you Lindsay you are amazing. It has been 1 week now since myself and Archie attended your lead walking class. I’ll be honest when I turned up on the day and you started the class I thought this is never going to happen not in a million years. Well one week on and what a difference. We haven’t been far but each day we get another house further down our street. He now takes the treats from me for every command he does and has also started to sniff. ( now he has time to instead of nearly pulling me over) We will carry on a bit at a time and we will get there. After 2 years of pulling I know it will take some time. Thank you again for changing our life’s and enjoying going for a walk. It maybe a short one but not worried anymore about being dragged into the road. 5******* all the way and well worth the money x

Thank you to Lindsey for carrying out a home visit to Lottie who struggled to calm her behaviour and became so overwhelmed with visitors to the house. We now have the tools to help her bring herself down and each week with patience and time she continues to get better. Still work to do with the “puppy brain” but she’s definitely heading in the right direction.

Highly recommend Pawsitive Pooches. I take my two pocket bully’s to them. One girl has one to one sessions and the the other girl has just started puppy’s classes. Very good training sessions. And the tutors are lovely.
