Excellent fish and chips. Place is always squeaky clean. Good seating arrangement. Prices are reasonable and serving size is pretty good. I struggle to finish small code and come of chips. Limited but decent parking arrangement. Definitely recommend this place.

One of the best fish and chip shops I have been to, big portion size, halal and great service.

I got Iftar takeout from these guys on Friday and they did not disappoint. The food was amazing with the cod bites and spicy curry sauce being the star of the show. Great value for money with healthy and thoughtful portions. I would recommend this to any fish & chip lover. Only downside was the pie but other than that 10/10 experience.

NICE FOOD - SUPER SERVICE! The only place in the country that does a John Bull (spiced mincemeat between two slices of potato, battered and deep-fried) and it's amazing! I urge you to get one with scraps (bits of fried batter) as the crunch adds texture to the taste. Also recommend local Lancashire delicacies including Rag Pudding (stewed meat in suet pasty), 'dab barm pea wet' (otherwise known as 'smack barm pea wet' - fried potato scallop in a buttered breadroll with pea juice) and they also have cuisine from all over the world, including Canadian Poutine and Volkswagen sausages. If you're boring, the fish and chips are superb. Friendly staff, food comes out quickly, I can't say anymore other than it's a 5 star establishment and it comes recommended.

So I had to visit and try the Blackburn’s now Famous John Bull with scraps and chips. Well I wasn’t disappointed ! In fact I really enjoyed it and would have another the next time I’m in the Blackburn area. I think it’s like a bit of spicy haggis between two thin slices of potato. They take a piece off the potato which is perhaps 4” long and 3/16” thick, the slice then has spiced mince and another slice of potato put together, it is then cover it in batter, and deep fried giving you the famous John Bull treat. A Potato fritter is called a Dab around Blackburn. So it’s two dabs with mince between and fried in crispy batter.

Legendary chippy, always has been and always will be. It’s right up there as being one of the best chippy’s in the UK. Love my John Bull’s and you won’t get a better one than here.

Delicious food enjoyed every mouth ful food was piping hot when arrived, love this chippy it’s a treat when I come to Blackburn. , great work guys keep it up great prices aswel , very affordable.

Good quality little chippy that does fantastic fish & chips. Also great customer service & care, had an issue with an Just Eat order but they came back & replaced the item free of charge.

Good wholesome food and very tasty. Chicken just melted in your mouth and spices were not over bearing. Service was very fast and reliable no matter the weather conditions.
