PAPA'S FISH AND CHIPS REVIEWS

I had an amazing time at Papa's Fish & Chips in Willerby tonight with a friend. The fish was truly outstanding – crispy, golden batter with flaky, flavorful fish inside. The gravy paired perfectly, adding just the right depth to each bite. The restaurant's design is impressive, with its ship and sea theme creating a unique and inviting atmosphere that made us feel like we were dining by the coast. A special thanks to George, the manager, for his warm hospitality. This place is a gem, and I can't wait to return.

Went to Papa’s in Willerby and I can only say our experience visiting this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. There were 5 of us in total, and when Annie who was our server for the night noticed one of our party was disabled she was very accommodating and put us in part of the restaurant that was easily accessible for them. Annie was very helpful and courteous. And as for the food the battered fish was absolutely delicious and so crispy. It made us realise that the quality of our local fish and chips shop is well below par.

2nd time here, this time for Good Friday. We had Annie both times who was lovely, very pleasant, attentive, helpful. Table was clean and fish and chips was gorgeous. Will definitely return.

Saw a food review of this place online. It didn’t disappoint! We went for the haddock and chips with their famous tatties and battered sausage. Served with curry sauce and gravy. As a Southerner, I had never had tatties before. They were unreal, they tasted like battered stuffing balls We were able to get a seat in the restaurant and served by the lovely Lou! She couldn’t do more to help us and gave us some tatties to take home and give the kids. If you’re up in Hull check it out! Great food and cheap.

we usually get takeaway from here and it’s always nice- sat in today and it was just as delicious. staff are delightful and atmosphere is great. my grandad complimented the food and was given free patties to take home :,) best in hull.

We visited for takeaway whilst in Hull for the weekend as they catered for Gluten Free. I had GF fish and chips and decided to have the onion rings as well as it is a novelty to get GF options! My husband had a sausage supper and tried a Pattie Bite (we had no idea what they were! ). Our takeaway was so good we decided to return and eat in the restaurant on the Monday lunchtime before heading home. We both enjoyed a Pattie bites special lunch (I had GF cheese and onion) and enjoyed chatting with the staff who were very friendly. A visit to East Park Chippy will be a fixture on our itinerary each time we come back to Hull for sure.

CAVE STREET FISHERIES REVIEWS

This is a proper chippy. I ordered a regular fish, chips, peas & scraps. Everything was as a traditional chip shop should be. The chips had plenty of colour, fish cooked to perfection with lovely batter, lots of mushy peas and scraps. I'm stuffed and there's still lots left. Could easily share between 2 people and only cost £10. The staff are really friendly too. They've been doing this for over 30 years and it shows. If there's a better chippy in Hull I haven't found it.

Best fish and chips I've ever had. They also had quality recommendations on the best museums and marinas in Hull - honestly changed our perception on what a fish can be. Goated with the sauce.

We go out of our way to purchase our takeaway from Cave Street fisheries. Definitely considered by our family as the best fish shop in Hull. Best to check online if it's open prior to visiting as they opening hours can change from what's advertised outside the shop.
