Absolutely fantastic experience at Papa’s Fish and Chips! We ordered the kids meal, large fish and chips, and the Halloumi Burger meal. all delicious and freshly prepared. The location is perfect, right on the pier with stunning sea views. But what really made our visit special was Dee’s exceptional service! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing paper and colours to keep little Trisha entertained. She checked in to see if we needed anything and was so friendly and helpful throughout. Thank you, Dee, for your outstanding hospitalit we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend this place for great food, a lovely setting, and top-notch service. ????????????

Fish and chips isn’t really my cup of tea ???? But since this is such a famous place — the biggest in the UK — I decided to try it for the very first time (even though I live here ????). My partner loved it and said it was really good, so I’ll trust his opinion more than mine on this one. Just don’t forget the vinegar and a sprinkle of salt — that’s the proper way! ????

Fantastic fish and chips in great location. Staff very friendly. The curry sauce was also very good. The building itself is also lovely in an almost ballroom setting. There is outdoor seating aswell on the pier for the sunny days

STEELS CORNERHOUSE RESTAURANT REVIEWS

Steels were highly recommended to us while staying at a local hotel. It has to be the best Haddock and chips I've ever had! My wife had the Halibut and salad and that too was cooked perfectly. The batter is so light and crisp. I wish I could have managed the sponge pudding because that looked fantastic too. The staff were so lovely and welcoming which made it a great experience all round. We WILL be back when we're in the area.

We were recommended to go here for the best fish and chips and were not let down. We called in without booking and were shown to a booth table upstairs - all very retro and we loved it. The jumbo Haddock was delicious - just loads of lovely white meat, with a pot of tea and bread and butter. Clearly this is a time honoured institution that is loved by many - long may it continue.

We came here on Sunday (18.8.24) for the first time having heard good reports about it and we weren't disappointed. My partner had the large Haddock with chips and mushy peas which looked fantastic and she thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely have it again. I had the home made beef pie with chips and beans. The pie was delicious, packed with meat and definitely home made, far better than any pies I have had from other places and like my partner I would have it again. We will come back and next time I will have the Haddock it looked so good.

OCEAN FISH BAR REVIEWS

It is the first time we visited this restaurant. I ordered jumbo haddock plus chips and curry sauce together. The freshness and taste of this haddock is very good. Maybe the restaurant is close to Grimsby that they can purchase fresher fishes than other areas. At the same time, it is not easy to find poached fish elsewhere too. It is a less oily choice suitable for healthy- conscious customers. On the other hand, the staff are nice, helpful and smiley. The most important thing is that the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

My dad has a mobility scooter which he always parks in the chip shop, I had booked a table before going so when the lady saw us she immediately asked if we wanted the table nearest to the entrance/exit so my dad didn't have to walk far great service thank you so much and obviously we will be back again for our pensioners fish & chips which is a bargain very tasty.

Absolutely delicious vegan options. Staff were amazing with allergies and checking their food ingredients when we ordered. Lovely environment, and the whole table commented on how yummy the food was. We've visited many times before and can say we've never had a bad meal here even at its most busiest.
