Was just passing by, a very friendly young chap greeted me. Very short queue. No wait on the regular chips (£3.20) which were worth every penny - crispy, and fluffy on the inside. Nice mix of large chips and smaller ones which get a bit crunchier (and are my favourite).

My go to Fish and chips shop. It’s so good, it’s always on my agenda as a treat when I drive up to the Midlands from my home in London. Consistently great quality and great friendly service from all the staff. Update Visiting after a few months and same quality and same friendly staff. Eating al fresco in the park on a warm spring day - unbeatable.

One of the best chippy’s I’ve had. I’ve travelled around the UK for the last few years with work, I’ve tried lots of chippy’s and this falls at number 2 on my list. I will come back to get more if i’m down there and ill try the fish next time. The chips were perfect. a nice crisp crunch on the outside and soft on the inside and the perfect taste. Staff were friendly, place was very clean.

DOVEHOUSE FISH BAR REVIEWS

Good consistency of chips and portion sizes are decent. £2.40 for a portion, a bit on the steeper than others. The fish is on the small side compared to other chippies I use. I haven’t had a bad portion of chips. Handy tip, always ask to wrap your fish separately. And put salt and vinegar on them at home.

First visit and really impressed. Had a bag of chips, lovely and freshly cooked. Lots of salt n vinegar. Good value in my opinion ... TH.

What a wonderful fish and chip shop..food was excellent and the best of it was that it's cash only!..good on you. Too many places killing cash these days. I will be back.

We came in for the first time to Tugs. We ordered 6 large fish and Cheeps and Curry deals. The fish was huge and very tasty. Curry sauce was decent. Would definately recommend.

Top chippy. Chips and nice, lamb doner tastes like lamb and you can tell its good quality. Turkish chicken is delicious. They are a chippy and also do your traditional Turkish stuff amongst other food. I recommend.

First time having a delivery, wonderful food, presentation lovely, will definitely start using this establishment.
