Synonymity with squalid conditions as a result of Orwell’s state-of-the-nation sojourn causes some to give Wigan a wide berth. I’m chuffed that I happened to be passing through. What a find this place is. Value, taste, selection, service and setting are all absolutely top-notch. Won’t forget that crunchy batter for a while. Deserves a higher rating.

Great food and service. Went for the small fish and chips. Amazing value and food was lovely and freshly mate to order. Staff nice and friendly too.

Just had the most delicious meal in here. Mixed meat (Donner Meat and Chicken Tikka), chips, salad, ketchup and mayo. A huge portion for £6.50! Unbelievable value and the food is sublime. RECOMMENDED.

We couldn’t fault our visit, staff are lovely and friendly there’s always a brilliant atmosphere! Food is phenomenal and if we’re ever fancying a chippy this will always be the one we head too! Would definitely recommend to try if you haven’t already 10/10.

Outstanding. Most delicious chippy I have ever been to. Staff was fast and friendly. Salt and vinegar was put on before the curry sauce just the way I like. Battered sausage was awesome. Tried some fish too and that was excellent. Will definitely be back here.

First time going here but must say food is very tasty, a little expensive but I don’t mind as long as the food is good. You can taste in the food quality that it’s cooked fresh using quality food, it’s served with a smile and welcoming staff on the counter. Will be retuning here.

Great haddock and chips meal, friendly service...I only gave a 4 for atmosphere as it was very quiet (which suited me) but others might want bustling lunchtime. Good prices too.

Great little chip shop, top quality food and cheap as chips. Having not been in the UK for a few years made it the taste of Wigan I was remember. Keep up the good work guys.
