ALBERT'S STANDISH REVIEWS

After a lovely evening meal at Albert’s, I was back with my family for brunch the following day, and it was lovely. We sat outside, had the most amazing service from Wayne, and the food and coffee was excellent. Food being good is obviously a must but service is what makes a place and Albert’s didn’t disappoint. Thanks Wayne for a fun and enjoyable Saturday morning.

The standards at this restaurant are faultless. The food is ALWAYS fabulous. Our server today was Jack and he made the whole experience so relaxing and enjoyable. Jack chatted with our Grandson making sure everything was perfect. This is our favourite place to go...superb food, spotless with great staff. Thank you.

A pre-new years meal from their winter menu last month - I can't believe it's February tomorrow! Seasonal menus, large party catering and fabulous cocktails.

Gallimore’s exceeded my expectations as it was a casual looking restaurant (warm and cozy, made me feel at home) but offered top quality meals which tasted as if they were made by experienced/skilled chefs. The menu offered a wide variety with amazing value for your money. I highly recommend the steak meal from the lunch menu….. the best peppercorn sauce I’ve had in my life. Very friendly Manager/Staff as a bonus.

Went for date night here, the food was absolutely beautiful. Mine and my partners steak was cooked to perfection. The staff were really friendly and very attentive to our every need. My partner proposed to me there and the staff did everything they could to make it special also gave us a free bottle of prosecco ???? would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going again very soon.

Called in as we were passing , 8oz steak special with salad & chips small house wine or draught pint £10 each , excellent valve for money , Great staff checking everything fine thru out the meal , better half got a cheese board to finish off ! This is a must try , we will be back for sure.

What a fantastic little place! I chose this venue to host my Mums 60th party. We had the upstairs area to ourselves, it’s absolutely beautiful up there, from the decor to the atmosphere I couldn’t fault it. We had the Mezze boards for the guests and they went down an absolute treat, with rave reviews from everyone. The staff were lovely, the owner Jane, equally as welcoming and lovely. Thank you for making my Mums day so very special! I really can’t wait to come down and have a meal at such an amazing little establishment.

This little hidden gem is amazing, the food is exceptional and the staff can’t do enough for you. The menu is great not too big but enough choice which changes all the time, so you can always get something different every time you go. The steak was so tasty and cooked to perfection and the lamb I had on a previous visit was unbelievable.

We are late arrivals at The Red Door, seeing as it's been in Wigan for 15 years. And, now we've been, we are wondering why we've not gone sooner. The food and service were fabulous. It's a lovely and reasonably priced place on College Avenue in the town centre. Highly recommended.
