I had both my mothers and fathers funerals run by R C Smallbone and the service was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble for them and everything was organised with consideration for us as a family and at a sensible cost. I would certainly recommend them to anyone in the West Berks area for a proper family run funeral ceremony.

Michael and his team have been excellent in helping our family through a difficult time. They have been both professional and supportive from start to finish and I have no hesitation in recommending their services. They also introduced us to Colin Hawkins who is an amazing Celebrant who organised the service brilliantly. Thanks again Michael and Colin.

Wonderful personal service, very professional, nothing to much trouble, felt a very personal touch which made us feel reassured, beautifully handled on the day. Highly recommended, Neil is a true gentleman and gave our dad a wonderful send off, can not thank him enough.

Kirstie superbly guided me through this, a personal first time experience, and her attention to making me feel at ease and ensuring that all the tiny details were covered was outstanding. Similarly, Paul, the Director on the day, impressed me hugely with a personal phone call the evening before the funeral, and with his very discreet guidance on the day. CHFD are the ultimate professionals in handling such the sensitive events.

Friendly and professional from the beginning to the end. All options were explained to us and talked through sensitively. We were kept informed at all stages and even phoned just before the service to explain who would be looking after us. The celebrant that they suggested was fantastic and really captured my mums life and spirit. I also had a call to let me know that the ashes were ready for collection but was under no time pressure to pick them up. I would highly recommend Camp Hopsons.

All the staff were friendly, sensitive and very professional. We were given all the help and information we could possibly need every step of the way and they took care of everything.

Called into here today, hoping the guys could help us find a flower holder for our sons headstone, as someone had taken ours from his grave The lads went above and beyond to find us one that would fit into our sons headstone. Even suggesting other independent funeral directors. They showed so much compassion to us, and then did something amazing and overwhelming that it brought a tear to our eyes. It was an emotional time, and we completely forget to even get their names. But my self and my wife just want to sat a big thank you.

Peter and colleagues were professional, sensitive and very accommodating (our family group had some slightly unusual requests) at an extremely sad and shocking time. We had a fitting humanist ceremony for our mum and green burial. I can highly recommend.

West Berkshire Funeral Directors were absolutely brilliant, Terry went through the whole process with me, spent time no rush & the whole team was so respectful.. Could not have asked for a better humanist service. I will be making sure that my family choose this funeral directors when my time comes!
