RADISSON BLU HOTEL, DURHAM REVIEWS
From the minute we arrived we were greeted with warmth and friendly staff. Check in was quick and hassle free and we were in our room in no time. We had a room on the top floor and on the front of the hotel. It was quiet and nice to watch the wildlife on the river. Great view of the cathedral too!! The service from the bar staff was excellent and room service was promptly delivered. It was my fiance's treat for my 50th and I simply had the best stay. Every staff member we encountered was professional yet friendly.
Absolutely perfect stay. We checked in early, the room was spotless and spacious. We had evening meal at the hotel - Rayanne and Elisa were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic night sleep. Breakfast was perfect, lots of choice. Ended our stay with an hour in the spa and a swim. Can't wait to come back!
This was my first experience in durham and I choose Radisson hotel based on the reviews. I am so happy that I made the right choice. It was my wife's birthday and they made it really special for her. The breakfast was well served and had a good spread with delicious food. They even prepared special dishes according to our requests. Nice environment with all the facilities inclusive in one place. Definitely my first choice in my next visit to durham. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

RAMSIDE HALL HOTEL REVIEWS
Brothers wedding reception. Lovely venue and nice grounds. Pints are a bit dear, so lose a star, but the "canapés" were lovely. I was impressed. Unfortunately, I had to leave early for work as I couldn't get it off, and I would have liked to stay, but it was an excellent venue for a wedding reception.
Great place lovely service, it's a little pricey but it's well worth spending the extra as the place is just superb. Great rooms in a lovely location, cracking breakfast and close to Durham. Well worth a stay if you are planning to visit Durham or if you just want a nice relaxing weekend in the spa.
I played the golf course..It is a fantastic layout greens were excellent ...fairways were very soft after heavy overnight rain..I wouldn't like to play them after a week of heavy rain.. Otherwise we'll worth playing.

LUMLEY CASTLE HOTEL REVIEWS
Love it here. Such a grand place but so homely and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable. The ones on the castle itself have great views but be aware of the narrow medieval stairways up to them (as might be expected). The staff are all delightful. The breakfast rooms are lovely and the service there extraordinarily efficient. You can explore all the grounds and public areas. They even gave their own friendly cat.
Wonderful stay at Lumley Castle. The castle itself is beautiful and very atmospheric. The rooms are warm and comfortable and serviced every day. The staff are friendly and efficient. We only ate breakfast here but that was absolutely delicious, hot, very tasty and with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. Dinner menu appeared a little pricy but we were eating out each night or with friends.
We attended a wedding here and they made an absolute success of it. It’s a beautiful property with lovely grounds. Sadly it never stopped raining but this did not detract from the two nights and two days of celebrations. The rooms are medieval and hence not particularly warm or dry but they are well appointed and full of character. The service was superb throughout. All in all a great stay in spite of the weather.
