Beautiful family and dog friendly park. There is a food & drinks cabin with purse friendly prices and so much land to explore. I loved the fairy dell gardens, very well kept.

WHARTON PARK REVIEWS
Discovered this park on a day out to Durham. I've been to Durham loads over the years and never been here. My 6 yr old loved it. Great spot to burn off energy and lots to explore. A great space to use if before the train home!
Lovely park for families and kids. Not the most accessible due to steps and hills but nevertheless a lovely place. Plenty of activities, lovely views of the cathedral and a number of picnic tables.
Beautiful hilly park with great views over Durham, including the Cathedral, Castle and viaduct bringing the trains in. Lots of activities for children. Some beautiful plants and flowers.
