I have had therapy from sue for a number of years for several issues I have experienced. Previously it was for weight loss. I had the gastric band hypnosis for my wedding and lost 3 stone in 5 months. I have recently had sessions with sue for postnatal anxiety and intrusive thoughts, she’s worked miracles and given me my life back which means I am a better mum for my baby. I used to always be worrying about awful things but it’s now under control. Sue has taught me useful coping strategies so if the thoughts and anxiety does come back I can cope! Sue is warm, professional, none judgmental and understanding. She’s amazing!!
I came to meetings with Sue tired and unmotivated that had accumulated over a period of time. After one meeting I left full of energy and mood and desire returned to me. Sue knows how to adapt treatment to what is right for me, and at every meeting I feel that I leave feeling refreshed and strengthened. Highly recommend.
I saw Sue a week ago for my fear of spiders (and dogs). I already feel calmer around dogs although I’ve not yet seen a spider yet to assess my reaction! Sue also mentioned my lower back in the hypnosis (because it held a lot of tension) and I can honestly say it feels 80% better, the tension feels like it’s melted away which is unbelievable! I decided to try a few sessions with Talking Steps Therapy as I was struggling with sleep. I found that even though I was shattered at the end of the day, I was finding it hard to switch off and get to sleep and it was becoming something i was putting pressure on myself to achieve! What can I say…David is the the most calming, rational and thought provoking person to talk to. The sessions were really relaxed and gave me chance to talk about all areas of my life and thoughts, with no judgement. I learnt a lot about sleep and got some really good tips and ideas from the sessions which I am still doing now and have found them really helpful, not just for me but all my family. By talking it helped me make small steps to big changes which in turn have helped me drift off to sleep easier. The hypnosis part of the sessions was so relaxing, I was slightly nervous at first, but David made me feel at ease and I soon started to enjoy this ‘me time’ just as much as our chats. I would highly recommend David and the services he offers, he is professional, knowledgeable and has an air of calmness that quickly transcends to you.
