TOP 3 KOINONIA SOUTH INDIAN RESTAURANT REVIEWS

Really excellent food at Koinonia with excellent value to boot. Great range of dishes both classic and which I hadn't tried before, including curried Keralan mussels to start, which were a massive stand out for me personally. My fillet beef main was also excellent and paired really well with freshly made parathas. My fiancé is vegetarian and she had lots of great options for mains and starters, including an excellent range of curries and more unknown dishes such as the Sambar Wada, silky dumplings coated in a delicious and rich tomatoes curry sauce, to start. One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever eaten at tucked away in Newark - I'll definitely be back.

I’m very glad that I found Koininia. This is one of the best Kerala restaurants in England. Everything we tried, especially the appam & kozhi kurumulak perlan, poth ularth, neychor and kakka roast were just amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is one of the very few places that focus on quality and taste. I’d definitely recommend this place. The authentic Kerala taste with no compromises.

Best Indian food ever try never found some better choice, I will recommend to everybody to come and try this food, we will come back to eat again definitely. Thanks very much Koinonia.

Raoul was very helpful and knowledgeable as we popped into restaurant for a takeaway. It’s our first takeaway in Newark and husband and I were both very happy at the choices. Raoul recommended a meal to us, and it didn’t disappoint. Absolutely loved the cider which was also recommended. Looking forward to trying out different dishes when we go there again. Restaurant looked very clean and tidy. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Another fantastic delivery from Asha....Thankyou. My favourite Indian restaurant in Newark over the last 20 years and I've tried them all! Authentic flavours, good portions and always delivered hot straight from the kitchen. Delivery drivers are super polite too.

Lamb Dupiaza was stunning…huge pieces of lamb and so succulent and mouth-wateringly tasty. Tandoori King Prawns - Superb, wanted more more more.

Visited the 'Castle' for a casual early evening meal, having eaten here previously & enjoyed it. We were not disappointed. The staff were very personable, attentive & efficient. The meal was served promptly & thoroughly enjoyed. We were also provided with containers, to takeaway what we didn't manage to eat Thank you for a very pleasant evening .

Fantastic Food. I used the takeaway service twice whilst working in Newark. Some of the best Indian Food I have had the pleasure to tuck into. Very friendly and top notch service. Everything was great but the Chicken Achari and Chicken Balti are to die for. Well done team. I just wish you had a restaurant near my home in Coolum Beach, Queensland, Australia.

Not been to Castle Cuisine for a good while. But Indian curry's and starters etc just as good as we remember, if not tastier. Service was good, polite and helpful and all brought to our table in timely manner. Thank you for a great evening. Paul.
