St George's Hall was designed by Henry Francis Lockwood and William Mawson in a neoclassical style. The hall is renowned for its exceptional acoustics and intimate atmosphere. St George's Hall can accommodate up to 1,350 people and 1,550 for standing concerts. The extensive refurbishment of this much-loved building included a wide range of work on its exterior and interior. In addition to major work on the roof, windows, electrical systems, and stonework, the front-of-house areas have been increased where possible and decorated sympathetically to suit the heritage of the building. The building has hosted many of the world's top performers, including Edwin Waugh, the Hallé Orchestra, and Winston Churchill in 1910.

2025 Update: Wheelchair spaces are available for up to 12 for in most rows at St George's Hall.
