“Centenary Square has a peaceful green space in the busy city centre (or "centre") with walkways and seating areas. The 4,000 sq ft Mirror Pool is the most significant urban feature in the UK and is a fantastic place to relax and meet friends. The city park's pool has lighting effects with about 100 fountains, making it a beautiful sight at night. At night, the mirror pool transforms into a magical, laser-illuminated light and water display. Centenary Square is surrounded by bars and restaurants and is close to the National Media Museum.

“St George's Hall was designed by Henry Francis Lockwood and William Mawson in a neoclassical style. The hall is renowned for its exceptional acoustics and intimate atmosphere. St George's Hall can accommodate up to 1,350 people and 1,550 for standing concerts. The extensive refurbishment of this much-loved building included a wide range of work on its exterior and interior. In addition to major work on the roof, windows, electrical systems, and stonework, the front-of-house areas have been increased where possible and decorated sympathetically to suit the heritage of the building. The building has hosted many of the world's top performers, including Edwin Waugh, the Hallé Orchestra, and Winston Churchill in 1910.

2025 Update: Wheelchair spaces are available for up to 12 for in most rows at St George's Hall.”

CENTENARY SQUARE REVIEWS

Great place to visit. It's not the biggest place, but it has plenty of grassy space/ benches to sit on and the fountains are decent for kids to paddle/ splash around in. I often run round the city centre and often incorporate a run round centenary square into the run. There are plenty of eateries around city park and events are often put on here. Would recommend a visit.

For me, it's my happy place, it's secure you can walk and sit, and I can see people strolling and some relaxing on the benches enjoying the weather and kids playing around near water fountains. There are many food places around but my favourite is a library and next is Starbucks so grab some coffee and read a book.

Lovely free day out. Access to toilets on the left of the townhall if you ste facing it. Park at Broadway or alternatively find free parking away from the town centre and walk.

Terrorvision back home in Bradford. An amazing theatre with reasonably priced beer, £10 2 pints (Carlsburg & San Mig). The Bar Stool Preacher were a great starting act, then the stage was on fire with Tony and crew. Even had a 3 tier crowd stack (bonkers). Cheers for an awesome night/performance, looking forward to the next northern tour.

A very nice hall. The staff were great. When I had a look around while leaving after Chris Norman's concert I thought a herd of pigs would have left the hall cleaner than the people who came Tuesday night - empty bottles, plastic cups, crumbs on the floor, crisp packets.

Lovely venue to watch acts, we saw Rhod Gilbert and despite being up on the top tier near the back it was a great show!

THE ALHAMBRA THEATRE REVIEWS

Myself and a group of friends had our first experience here yesterday watching the absolutely stunning performance of Wicked. The staff on kiosk and helping around the site were all really friendly. We sat specifically near the bar on the dress circle level before the show and were well looked after by a very charming and friendly chap who checked in with us to make sure everything was OK and answered any questions we had, ensuring we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience throughout the evening. The building itself is quite nice as well, lovely internal decor throughout. I will definitely come back to this theatre again.

This is a great place to go and see a show, lovely building and friendly staff. Toilets and bars on each floor and a coffee shop, there is plenty of room in the waiting lounges. I have seen lots of shows here, the latest one been 'Grease.' Always enjoy it when we go.

I have never visited a theatre with more friendly and helpful staff. First time visitors but we will be back and would recommend it to anyone. Facilities were good and disabled parking extremely close. Thank you so much.
