“Lister Park is situated one mile from the city centre and is home to Cartwright Hall Art Gallery. The park has many outstanding features like boating, tennis courts, play areas, inspiring Mughal water gardens, and much more. The gardens are an excellent feature of the park, with a geological track winding throughout the various beds, which are based around the stream. Lister Park is one of Bradford’s 6 Green Flag parks and is home to Cartwright Hall Museum and Art Gallery. A footpath surrounds the park, which is accessible to all and suitable for most electric and manual wheelchairs. Lister Park contains a variety of flower gardens throughout the park.”

“Roberts Park is a scenic 14-acre urban park situated on the north side of the River Aire and is linked to Saltaire Village via a footbridge over the River Aire at the bottom of Victoria Road. There’s a brilliant new play area, a skate park, and a beautiful bandstand where concerts are staged throughout the summer. The visitors can relax, take in the gorgeous setting and enjoy the panoramic views of the cricket ground. Roberts Park is a perfect destination to hang out with your friends, picnic, and generally meet up in all sizes of groups. A family picnic spot and a children’s playground are at the main entrance.

LISTER PARK REVIEWS

This park is a beautiful park managed by the Bradford Council. The landscape is amazing. I was surprised to learn of the fossils in the park, and I liked the way they presented each piece in a playful way for the kids to enjoy. There is a lovely pond with waterfalls. The ducks in this pond are some of the largest I have seen anywhere. It is a lovely place for a run, a little less than 2km. I enjoyed running around the pond but had to play hopscotch around the ducks. I didn't use the cafe or boat rides, they weren't working at the time. I loved the grand entrance to the park and the statues. Definitely one to see. Lovely place for a day out with/without kids.

I was taken by surprise by this stunning park and gardens. Beautiful grounds to walk round, Cartwright Hall, water fountain garden, lake, fossils. waterfalls and so much more to enjoy. Perfect place to take the littlies for a day out with a fantastic park. Tearoom for refreshments, wheelchair friendly, dog friendly, and free parking. Events are held in the park, so keep a look out.

Great place to spend a few hours and take a leisure walk around the gardens and explore the fountains or visit the lake for a bite to eat and a ride in the boats and feed the ducks a visit to the botanical garden or the tennis court the house was closed when I was there but would love to return.

ROBERTS PARK REVIEWS

Lovely park, really well kept and absolutely stunning surroundings. Brilliant childrens play area with sand, boat, zip wire and more. Canal with ice cream boat, lovely walk, historical features and plenty of picnic space. There is also a lovely pub and restaurant to have a spot of lunch or Sunday dinner, with scenic views and cafe. Lots of places to play ball games or just sit in the sun. Road train rides (cash only) £3pp. Highly recommended family park.

Great place for adults and kids, especially through the summer holidays! The grounds are well kept, and the play area is great fun. There's everything you can think of, including a zip wire! There's a cafe for coffee and ice creams etc, what more could you want. Tip for parents.... the ice cream van only takes cash, so if you want to pay by card, then walk to the little cafe on the grounds as they do really nice ice cream there anyway!

Absolutely fantastic walk for the family even on a wet day park is lovely and clean and great for young siblings too plenty of parking available around the park a hidden gem in saltaire if you don't know it's there.

PEEL PARK BRADFORD REVIEWS

A truly beautiful park to visit either on your own, with a friend and or with family. It is so nice to walk around and see the surroundings. There is a small play area specifically for children to play in. The views are absolutely gorgeous. So much open space for children and adults to play on the green grass. The park is buzzing with life during the summer and there is usually a summer fayre there with loads and loads of rides to go on.

Peel Park, Bradford is such an amazing place to be. It is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. A funfair event week to cater to the recreational needs of the young ones and the entire family. A lovely way to spend time together as a family and bond.

Great park with lots of history. Explore and learn, new playgrounds added at the top end of the park and bottom. Regular dog walkers who live nearby also walk their dogs. Beautiful atmosphere when the weather is warm.
