I started having singing lessons at Progress earlier this year after being 'volunteered' to sing backing vocals in my band (I play sax). I've had no previous personal singing instruction, although I obviously have some musical knowledge from playing the saxophone. My main aim was to try not to sound horrendous but I'm beginning to accept that I can actually sing! My tutor Tia has been exactly right for me; she has taken the time to explain to me the technical points of using my voice in a way I've found very easy to understand and helped me work through any problems I've encountered whilst continuing to encourage and uplift me. I have even been able to listen to a recording of myself singing - amazing! It's been a long time since I had proper lessons in anything (around 20 years!) and I'm enjoying it so much. I would never have achieved what I have so far trying to learn at home on my own. Progress is a great place to learn, very well equipped and set up and the booking system for lessons is very slick. I can't thank Progress, Gary and especially Tia enough for helping me find my voice.

Tia is the vocal coach for my two boys. She is always very patient with them and uses her experience and technical skills to extract the best performances from them. The lessons are always fun and very enjoyable. She always provides great individual feedback from each lesson for the boys to review and work on before the next lesson. A very rewarding and beneficial experience for them every time we go. I would highly recommend Tia if you need vocal coaching lessons.

I've been having vocal lessons with Goldie for around 3 months, she's been extremely helpful with giving me tailored feedback and teaching vocal techniques. She always creates a friendly environment, making the lessons enjoyable.

I Started with the choir which is fantastic fun and always leaves me floating on a musical high after every rehearsal or show. I recently started bass lessons and am loving them. I'm blown away by the commitment of the whole team to everyone doing the best that they can, and to getting everyone involved and performing regardless of whether they have been playing for one week or 5 years. Brilliant! I totally recommend it.

Had an awesome lesson with Darwin, learnt a couple of my favourite songs and some new techniques to play guitar. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn how to play in a band or improve their music skills!
