Mr Muhammad Tawfiq Korim is a consultant in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in Leicester. He earned his degree from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and subsequently pursued his surgical training in Birmingham and Leicester. Following this, he underwent a specialized one-year fellowship training in hip and knee surgery at the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, London. He focuses on various aspects of orthopedic care, including hip and knee replacements, knee ligament reconstruction, knee revision surgery, and procedures to preserve the knee joint. With an impressive track record, he has performed over 1,000 hip and knee replacements, offering his patients valuable surgical expertise. His practice primarily caters to adults and is located at Spire Leicester Hospital. He actively educates medical students and trains orthopedic surgeons at the University Hospitals of Leicester. His specialization extends to hip and knee replacements, knee revision surgery, and knee-preserving techniques like articular cartilage transplantation, partial knee replacements, and knee osteotomies. In March 2016, he assumed the role of Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon in Leicester. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Mr Tawfiq received the EFORT travelling fellowship, which allowed him to visit medical units in Switzerland (Uniklinik Balgrist, Zurich) and Germany (Endo-Klinik, Hamburg), further enhancing his surgical knowledge for the benefit of his patients.
