“St George Park is an excellent Victorian suburban park with a pond, large wheel park, grass areas and a children’s playground. The park had many architectural features built on land originally known as The Fire Engine Farm. Trails and crosses contain many mature trees. St George Park has a lake with ducks and swans, a green bowling alley, and a café kiosk with an outdoor seating area. A dog-free zone and a fence surround the entire ground. The playground has a large bespoke lizard-head structure with timber climbing ‘ribs’, tunnel slides, seesaw swings, and a toddler sandpit with a small slide. St George Park is open year-round and has free entry.

2025 Update: The park offers several amenities, including a basketball court, tennis court, cycling lanes, walking trails, and picnic areas.”

BRANDON HILL REVIEWS

A pretty, hilly park in the centre of Bristol. A mixture of gardens, informal trees and open lawns over a hillside. Lots of benches to sit and admire the views across the city alongside city workers enjoying their lunch. In the centre of the park is Cabot Tower which is worth climbing if you have a head for heights as the views are spectacular. There is a well equipped children’s’ play area at the southern end of the park.

I have lived in Bristol for almost 3 years and have only been to Brandon Hill once! But I will be making sure it isn’t only a one time visit as the area is so beautiful, the landscaping will have you wondering how they managed to carve such a beautiful area - there are benches on the lower part of the park to oversee the city and enjoy but you can also go up the tower for a more elevated view. Would recommend for some natural beauty!

An amazing park/garden. Calm and praceful atmosphere. The top small pond, flowers, birds and Squirrels give a wonderful atmosphere and view to the city. The Cabot tower is located on top of ot, whichnis a free of cost amazing attraction. Able to see the entire city from there.

St George Park in Bristol is a delightful urban oasis. The park features a large lake, perfect for leisurely strolls and feeding the ducks. Well-maintained gardens, including beautiful rose beds, add to the serene ambiance. There's a spacious playground, making it ideal for families, and ample open spaces for picnics and sports activities. The addition of a skate park caters to older children and teenagers. The cafe on site serves delicious refreshments, making it a great spot to relax. With its mix of natural beauty and recreational facilities, St George Park is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy outdoor activities.

Beautiful park with a lake, tennis court, skate park, basketball court. You need to book the courts in advance if you wish to play a game. There is also a children's play area where the toddlers can have fun in a safe way. Currently, the lake is under maintenance and should be open shortly. EDIT - The lake is now open and the maintenance work is complete.

Very nice park. Far from city centre but it's worth visiting atleast once or twice a month. The greenery of this place is magnificent. There are public toilets and a coffee shop too. Not sure if the ice cream truck comes here daily, but I visited on a Sunday and bought a softie from them.

VICTORIA PARK REVIEWS

This is a beautiful green belt that situated between, knowle ,Totterdown , Windmill hill and Bedminster. There is a sub train station on the windmill side of the park that gives quick and easy access to the main temple meads station. It covers a very large area , with the most stunning trees , it is a good place to get together with friend's and family and spend good quality time together or spend time just with your own self . It has a few play areas scattered around and some work out equipment on a circuit , there is also a bowling green and a small cafe that sells amazing coffee.

We walk our dog here every day, he loves it, we love it. In a normal summer there's plenty of BBQing going on. The grass gets mown often, even during lockdown. Tennis courts, bowls, table tennis. A fantastic coffee van called Stuffed run a by an awesome pair of sisters. The park itself is bigger than you think, always something new to find.

Really lovely park. The people are generally super nice here! The park itself is huge and well maintained with lots of seating scattered around. Lovely all year round to be honest.
