“Baggeridge Country Park occupies an area of 152 acres and was formerly the Baggeridge Colliery and part of the original Himley Estate of the Earls of Dudley. The park features walking trails, mountain bike trails, orienteering courses, a children's play area, a miniature railway, and a high ropes course. The park was awarded Green Flag status. There is a great adventure playground with multiple climbing structures, a large slide, rope features, and traditional swings. Baggeridge Country Park offers plenty of open space for walking and cycling alongside its other fantastic facilities.”

“Priory Park is a lovely place to play outdoor sports with families and friends. This is the closest park to Dudley town centre, just five minutes away. Priory Park has tennis courts, basketball courts, a cricket practice area, a multi-use games area, a pond, a children’s play area, and a wooded area. In the park, paths are wide and mostly flat with a few small gradients, alternative ramp access is available around any steps, ensuring all park areas are accessible. Priory Park is a beautiful place to explore local history and wildlife habitats. The Priory Hall, located within the park, is a lovely setting and a popular venue for wedding ceremonies. Priory Park is accessible for most wheelchairs and pushchair users.

“Buffery Park features open regions in amenity grass, small shaded woodlands, and large areas of open flat grass, shaded and unshaded spots perfect for picnics and leisure activities. The memorial was placed in the park's center to pay tribute to soldiers who served and died for their country during the Great War. The park also includes multi-use games and children's play areas. The Buffery Park Conservatory was once a central feature of the park, providing plants for visitors to enjoy and pot plants for use in the Dudley Borough Mayor Making and other civic events. Car parking facilities are available at the park. All facilities are free of charge except the building, football and event/activity.

2025 Update: The Football pitch is available for teams to book for the season.”

BAGGERIDGE COUNTRY PARK REVIEWS

It's a great place for walks with lovely scenic views. Uneven ground and some walking up and down hills. A great independent cafe ( Baggeridge Tea Room ) on site by the car park, which sells great meals as well as drinks and ice cream. Lovely friendly staff! It has seating indoors as well as an outside seating area. Definitely check them out! The car park is a good size (with parking meters) but can get busy. Disabled parking available. Footpath down to the fantastic play area for the children. It's a gated area with some impressive equipment, including a mini zipline! The whole place is very dog friendly too!

We hadn't been for years and wanted a to go for a walk. Good pathways, some a bit steep, but ok for us. Just got a little lost with the trail signage( might need updating to make it clearer) Otherwise a good walk round by the lakes. Toilet area was clean. And we had a drink in the cafe. Plenty of paid parking. And a good play area for younger children. Very enjoyable.

Lovely place for a day out . £3.50 all day parking ( cash or app) play area for kids ,zip line etc, plenty of places to picnic , no BBQ allowed. Great 1hr circular trek through the woods . Shop/cafe for hot drinks/ ice cream etc . Free Mini railway ( check website to see what days it runs on ) Loved this place ,will visit again.

PRIORY PARK REVIEWS

Really nice park for the community. Grass lands for walking the dogs. Park was updated couple of years ago. Gravel pathways. Children's play area. Tennis courts. Basket ball court. Statue of Dorothy Round the tennis star. Modern park keeper offices and public toilets. Rose gardens. Shrubs. Duck pond. Priory Park ruins. Priory house. This is an excellent park for the community. There are shops close by. The 126 bus stops alongside the park.

A great place to visit. Easy to get too and parking is great too. Priory park has these amazing ruins of an old priory built in the 1150's. It is right on the edge of a lovely park where families can enjoy the outside. If you love parks this is ideal, if you love to visit ruins it should top your list. Worth a visit.

Very nice relaxing walk to enjoy with history 2 obsorb, but desined for families 2 as there is a play park and tennis courts ect... really enjoyed my walk there.

BUFFERY PARK REVIEWS

Buffery Park is one of the oldest parks in the Borough built on the old mines it was built in 1897 by the Grazebrook family . It still has many of its original features like the layout and in it day was the main planting park for the whole of the Borough has well has a fantastic pavilion . The park has real community feel about it and plenty of locals walk their dogs daily and the local Army cadets train there once a week, the Friends group are doing a fantastic job redeveloping park , yes there are one or two issues but there on all parks , its also one of only 6 parks in the Borough with Green flag status.

Love nature its really green and is easy to access i visit regularly it has less litter than most places and more bins than most places.

Buffery Park is a nice place for your children. to go the play area no problems I used play there when i was a child.
